I really hate puzzles that just focus on movement count. Cuz at that point it's not a puzzle, it's a repetitive chore to got all the pieces apart.

I use a nifty trick instead. It's called a hammer

it's evident that the last two pieces must go horizontally and have, at their sides vertical pieces. the other two pieces is easy to figure where they need to go. the "hard" part is figuring how to place them there.
