The rust is what happens when the bike sits for a year or two without being run. There’s moisture in the air. That air enters the engine. Anything not protected by the oil will rust. Engines need to be run.

Thank you for posting it. After watching this video; is it possible to remove both front fork tubes at the same time, and by doing this, maybe we could avoid removing brake caliper? Of course, the motorcycle would have to be definitely better secured after lifting it.

$700 for fork seals, thats an absolute rip off. I got my 08' R1 forks by a race suspension specialist (here in Sydney) for $350 AUD that probably $220 US. And I had another quote for a similar price.

I have the issue where the power curve is not right around the 3000 rpm mark (2023 V9) which seems to only be solvable with a custom map. I think what you are describing is different and might have been resolved with an ECU update issued 19/04/2022 - Google 'MC-10211301-0001.pdf' Let me know if you think I might be f**king right :-).
