So much nostalgia. God, i’d love to go back. One thing sticks in my mind, however, about a replica of the steam locomotive ‘Locomotion No. 1’ from Darlington. I’ve got no idea what happened to it, if its still there, or even where it would have been, and i found a photo of it, which proves that i didnt just imagine it.

How do you find abandoned places i been trying to find somewhere to explore for ages

Enjoyed the video. Most houses had trophy’s in the 80’s, it was an excuse for the Mr to get out of the house. My dad was part of pub darts & snooker teams, he had lots of trophy’s. Just an ordinary large family home, imagine paying out for a full sized snooker table rather than updating the electrics!

I lived there from 1973 to 1980 as my mum and dad ran it. It was a lovely very popular pub. East Staffs council have refused planning on many many grounds me thinks it would need to be kept as a pub but the refurb alone will cost a lot. My bedroom was above the private lounge bit that is nearest the road (the one you didn’t go in) and it used to have a small square window which overlooked the car park mum and dad would be in my room watching the punters arguing after they left for the night 😂 I have photos of me in the pub garden 😎 ps I was champion of the arcade game Moon Cresta which was situated in the corridor to the loos, I was always top score due to practice 🫡

Hi from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦. Poor old house. Saw it just a few years ago, it was intact. This one is beautiful in it's ruined state. The main ataircase was mostly intact. That is some bad collapse here. Death trap now. Shame. Main staircase is gone. Enjoyed your vudeo, thank you. Been wondering about this place.

It’s gonna get knocked now soon I was working there yesterday and today but it’s being bought for a new housing estate sadly but it’s amazing in there did use go upstairs I went up even though it was abit sketchy for how old it is

That’s not a car park. That’s where the buses used to stop. The train and bus service used to come into the grounds. That’s not a fire escape. That’s the bridge that used go over the railway at Hartwood station. Before they electrified it. That was just a few years ago. They moved it there because the people who bought the hospital planned to use it. The buildings within the grounds were pulled down to stop people setting them on fire.

I live in Leeds, but used to frequently go into Bradford by train; the line passes quite near these flats. I like how you get little glimpses into the lives of people who used to live there by the wallpapers and the odd belonging left behind!

the garages you went in belong to the houses along Padeswood Drive, the belongings are nothing to do with the Hall. They are the residents of the Drive.

First rule of urbex, don't park outside of the place that u are exploring. Its asking for trouble. And its laziness. You could not be bothered to walk to this place from maybe a mile or more. If you go exploring in rural places be very careful. Locals and farmers are very suspicious of strangers and they will watch u. Farmers get a lot of their property stolen. You was in the wrong even though u was doing no harm. The farmer did not know u. You could have anyone. Learn a lesson from this.
