- Recently I explored the abandoned Jungle Zoo left to waste away in Lincolnshire. The place was abit beaten up by vandals however all the cages here are left tanks and enclosures which was surprising.

The cooker was left by the Turtles 🐢...It was their slow cooker 😂
There used to be a real zoo at Humberstone end of Cleethorpes, almost next door to this -(Fantasy Island site) complete with lions, tigers, crocodiles etc etc. -but after extra marital affairs, abandonment and bankruptcy when they went into the zoo to investigate after complaints, they found what they thought were life size models of the animals........they weren't models. It was a tragedy.

Had some good trips here. Went as a child and it was more of a tropical house, then it changed to more reptiles. I didn't even realise it had closed down until I saw your insta. Such a shame to see it in that state. But after pleasure Island went I think it got forgotten 😕 fantastic video as always 👍
Hi Dan, thought you would have brought in Sir David Attenborough to do a voice over for this one. 😂. Did you make sure the doors were closed when you left as we don’t want that dinosaur 🦕 running about Cleethorpes like something out of Jurassic Park. 😂😂😂😂😂
The thing with places like this that strugle with rising costs its mainly the food prices and animal care cost, with the bigger larger zoos they order food in huge bulk multi tones and this results in huge savings sometimes 75% cheaper where as smaller zoos like this cant do that size quantity and as a result they end up paying full prices this is the same thing with vet costs and medication. Lastly the footfall is greatly different from the bigger zoos as they are less known which equals less profit.

Wow - I used to live in that area and we took the kids here often over the years. It started out as a Butterfly Sanctuary. Sad to see it in this state.
i feel another tour bus coming soon lol , i did enjoy doing Rutland , we did a great Watermill with house next door with a real retro 50's kitchen on tuesday , had not seen a video on it so was a great explore as did not expect to get access . Great video guys i am guessing Dwarf crocs they grow to about 4ft .
