Recently I explored the abandoned Sands public house in Southport. Super surprised that this place is just left as the building itself is pretty huge and in good condition and believe they may be looking to renovate the property.

It was a very popular pub, but it hasn't been a hotel since the early 1900's, when the railway line used to run next to it, on what is now the coast road towards Southport beach and the funfair.

I live just down the road from this place.. its sad to see it closed and it is apparently haunted too.. I wish I had known you guys were going in I would of loved to tag along... I do hope it does not get trashed that said or worse..

Live just down the road. Went in before it closed. Always felt it was spooky. Was told that there were strange things there. A female ghost at the top of the main stairs, tended to try and push people and the owner now deceased apparently has never left

Ainsdale high school is abandoned which is in Southport too

Last went in there just a couple of weeks before it closed. Used to be a family favourite back in the day with a great view over the lake. Sadly it went downhill towards the end and got tatty. Hope someone does something with the building before it’s too late!

I didn't go there to drink or eat very much when it was open, I did however have some great nights out at the abandoned toad hall, which is literally across the road from there
