Aftee the Borderlands movie I'm glad this never happened.

Someone, maybe the writer, has been in a coma. I fell into a coma when a huge Cretagus thorn punctured the sole of my work boot introduced enough bacteria into my bloodstream to develop into sepsis. All I knew was I was ill but I was involved in smuggling something vital for humanity's struggle against the alien invaders. Humanoid, but very definitely "other". We'd move daily, finding cottages, old caravans, to plan, grab a few moments of what it was like before humanity had been forced into servitude. Not only were they Terraforming Earth to their liking... But we had to help them do it. My illness was getting worse, at one of the last little abandoned Welsh slate block built cottage they put up a curtain, an oxygen supply for me and temporary storage for the medical equipment that was keeping me alive. I can still feel the terror when I realised our cell had been infiltrated by the aliens. There was one nurse, as she tended to me I could feel & see the humanity in her eyes. I drank in what looked like bright, blue white laser sparkles from her eyes. She was my only hope & I stonewalled the alien infiltrators. I lived for that nurse who didn't need to speak, her eyes were comms enough... I must've lived 6 to 8 months in that other life. I still have vivid recall of that time. It was as detailed, as real, as logically internally consistent as the life you're living now. Did you notice how the hospital intensive care started creeping into my other life in coma. Slowly another reality was breaking through. It was a long, hard climb out of coma into this reality. The 6 or so months I lived in coma happened at roughly 1 month to 1 day. I was unconscious for a week they said. I had vivid memories of half a year as a fugitive, resistance, smuggler. The only person to bridge the two realities was the nurse. She was real in both places! But Picard's experience of living an accelerated other life was so close to my experience I had to say something. When I tell people they say "it was just a dream" but coma life is much, much more detailed, real... It's nothing like dreaming. I've talked to others who've experienced the same thing in coma. Oh! Please talk to people I coma. Touch them, hold their hand, include them in your conversations around them. They could be struggling to climb out and anything can be a lifeline, it's a long, hard clamber back.

When talking about how much of Batman is great versus how much of Spongebob is great, I think proportions of quality is the absolute most important element to consider when judging a series as a whole. For example, my second-favorite video game franchise is Metroid, and my third-favorite video game franchise is Pokemon. That said, if I were to judge the games individually, I would rate my favorite Pokemon games much higher than my favorite Metroid games. However, I still consider Metroid the better series because it has far fewer lows, and is much more consistently entertaining throughout its entire history. Whereas with Pokemon, it feels like for every great game, it has another game that's either mediocre or terrible, or is made completely obsolete by a more recent game that simply does the exact same thing as an older entry but better.

I don't think anyone is surprised that the player who literally knew nothing about the game is the first to die, probably should have given her a little bit of a tutorial before the game.

The thing with Chad's argument is that 'if you get bullet bill after bullet bill' doesn't really work. Because you'll get a bullet bill, go up a few spots... but you aren't going to get to first by relying on Bullet Bills, because eventually you'll stop getting them as you move up the positions. It's not even a case of luck or items at that point, there is a cut-off point where you simply cannot get Bullet Bills, so they're only going to get you so far. My views tend to match up with Jon most, although I would put the Boomerang higher than the Piranha Plant, because I feel Chad has a point about how uncontrollable it makes you. Whenever I get a Piranha Plant I just mash the button to get through it quickly, it rarely does anything good for me. I would go into more depth about the items and where I'd put them, but I doubt anyone's that interested in my opinion of them. ^^; I will say that I have a slightly better opinion of coins than most of them. I'm not saying it's great, but it'd be low D/high F for me, because if you get hit, you can use it to help get your coin count back up. That is basically the only use for it though, and I'd rather block an attack. The whole 'prevention is better than a cure' sort of idea. I would also say that a Blue Shell isn't as great as people like to make out a lot of the time. It does have the added benefit of, in 8, it goes along the ground. I think it does that in some other games as well, but most of my opinions are based on 8 and a little on the mobile game. So it does have a chance of hitting other people on it's way to first, but most of the time it's going to hit first, change the lead, not necessarily that great for you personally. If you're playing a team match, in Deluxe or mobile, it does get bumped up a bit because it'll go for whoever's in the lead on the other team. So it can either let one of your team get into first if someone on the other team is in first, or help the person in first if your team is in first. That's also a difference that 8 made, rather than it being on positions, it's how far behind the leader you are. If the leader is way out in front, you can get Stars in 2nd place. ...I do not get Chad putting the Super Horn above a star though. Sure, the Super Horn can save you from a Blue Shell... but so can the Star. As for the 10 items I'd put it... Star, Single Red, Triple Green, Triple Mushrooms, Mega Mushroom, Blue Shell, Lightning, Triple Bananas, Mega Horn... and I honestly don't know. Maybe single green shell or triple red.

I kind of agree with Austin. As much as I love Bob-Omb Battlefield, it's a fairly straightforward opening level. None of the stars are super cryptic and with the exception of the mountain having a teleportation area, and the mysterious floating island, it's a fairly standard but grounded level. I still love it but I get why he considers it mid. Just saying it now. Coming from someone who hates Shifting Sand Land ever since I was a kid, it's a definite D or F for me. I'm sorry. The pyramid's cool but everything about the level sucks anus. Especially the quicksand.
