So, the collection on this just does not work, like, at all. I'm getting cooked chicken and feathers just shooting out and around up through the cauldron every which way. I literally wrapped 5 layers of cobblestone around the lava/chicken area, and the cooked chicken will still just pop out the top instead of going into the hopper.

I'm at the part where we use ladders to make an exit, but I don't have ladders. Could you add that in the description?

what should my simulation distance be

For me this farm works in 1.16.5 and in 1.20.4 (so i guess it should work in all versions between these two). In 1.14 and 1.15 it does NOT work. My experimental rates are (both while being AFK near loot chest, difficulty hard, render distance 8 chunks, simulation 12 chunks for 1.20.4): 1017 iron/hour in 1.16.5 770 iron/hour in 1.20.4 a bit sad that in 1.20.4 its around 24.3% less efective but still not bad. a few importand things after building: 1. put a fence around the 9*9 hole (it will be 11*11 fence), i put 3 blocks hight and torches in top of every fence (40 torches) 2. make it impossible for golems to spawn in area around the farm, put torches. Puting lava will also be good Question (maybe anyonw knows answer): if i want to build a few these farms (4, one in each corner of a square), what should the length of this square side be? Meaning how long distance needs to be between vilages so that game counts them as 2 separate vilages? I heard it was 40 blocks before 1.14 but could not find answer for this after 1.14...

but why that many beds or do i need moreeee?
