Looks like the same kind of fence on the other side of their property. I am willing to bet they did the same thing to those neighbors on the other side of them. If so, and those folks don’t think it really matters if “it’s only a foot or two and i just don’t want the hassle”. In the mean time, the tax assessment is squewed, your property value is no longer correct and you are paying tax on those few feet your neighbor has claimed as his own. Take a look at this: 5ft wide strip 250ft long at $50.00 per square foot = $62,500 4ft wide strip 250ft long at $50.00 per square foot = $50,000 3ft wide strip 250ft long at $50.00 per square foot = $37,500 2ft……………………………………………………………………..= $25,000 1ft………………………………………………………………………= $12,500 Now, I am just estimating the per foot worth of $50.00. Even with that it proves there is a cost/value to that strip of land. It really is such a shame people do these things to their neighbors for money.

My property line was on a power pole too. A friend that worked for the state doing surveys came over and found the backyard stake with a metal detector. It wasn't where I thought it would be. Thankfully there was a 15 foot easement between my property and the neighbors backyard property lines.

Own two and a half acres. Have had to survey the property two times since I bought it. I outlived them all. Still in Ohio they don't like to put concrete around the pins since the 'Freeze/Thaw' will move it or cause it to lift out of the ground. I find I pound a T Post a couple inches away and it keeps everyone honest. I also recommend a huge rock but that can cause problems when people forget which side of the line the stone is on.

Pulling pins is a sure way to end up in court. Get that on a porch cam. No doubt who the bad guy is here.

Get a lawyer, civil suit and drag the arrogant fool into court. Show the videos to the judge.
