OMG, Canada needs air conditioning LOL. We get over 30C all the time in summer plus high humidity and poor air quality. This is southern Ontario. Newfoundland will be different. Just like you wouldn't lump all the climates in the US together, don't do it for Canada 😀

The zipper side bottle holders are awesome if you can leave it unzipped and it still holds your water bottle. It gives you another pocket in case you need to put something in there at the last minute or pack before you leave.

Gawd! This is why I hate travel these days. Used to love it, but no longer. Just passing security has become an ordeal (Medieval style), then once on board the plane, another trying episode begins. Over it! There's no place like home!!!!

I find U.S. carriers, esp. United, tend to have cooler cabins with air nozzles. European airlines are always too warm for me and they usually have no air nozzels.

I recall traveling with my old bf: his luggage didn’t have wheels, didn’t close sufficiently and he had to use DUCT TAPE to secure it! Bought him some decent travel luggage after that trip!

I like the larger single wheels, especially for their increased ruggedness on asphalt and cobblestone streets. In over fifty years of air travel, I have never had a single wheel pop off. 9:26 You are discriminating against 15% of people with your "Don't buy a suitcase with the handle on the right." They make those suitcases for a very good reason. They are for left-handed travelers with a weaker right arm than the left.

Don't be tricked by them!! This doesn't start until your SECOND rental and they don't tell you that until you join, have your plan made and have collected all your data including your credit card number. I went through so many hours of research and jumping thorugh hoops getting this to work only to find out after several a phone calls and an entire wasted day of travel-planning that even though I entrusted them all my data, my credit card number- and even thought the reservation is 100% paid- I still have to stand in their ungodly line after a14 hour flight?? Looking more closely, there appears to be no good reason for it. Not to mention avoiding that line after a super long flight is the whole reason I joined their otherwise useless service. I'm being told I can't go to local Hertz and activate my card and verify my driver's license before I leave the city. (That's what they said made this necessary- perhaps that would be reasonable). I have previous rentals using all the same profile info- I'm told they don't count although they verified me at that time. No good reason was given. Use someone else. I really really wish I had never started trying this- so many hours and now a dishonest company has all my info. I would give them Negative stars if I could. Laurie and her trips are great- maybe Hertz did something better years back when she started. This company, however, abuses your time and could care less.

I'm not traveling anytime soon, but I just really enjoy these videos, Laurie. Thanks for sharing these tips.

We just came home from our bereavement in CA. It was distressing that hubby and I packed lightly like you suggested and because others overpacked with numerous (up to at least 5 small PC bags, etc.) bags we (and others at the end of the boarding line) had to use the check in (at no additional charge) and wait over 30 minutes at the carousel. What gives with this? Why does TSA allow people to overpack? It's very unfair to us and others who follow the rules.

I adore the cadence containers! I also have some of the medium size for things I need more of like sunscreen. They are still TSA compliant as well.

So..."I'm not covered if I hurt myself," so you advice them to ask some random passenger? And if that passenger gets hurt...then what? You're saying "The chance of injury to me is too high. Ask that guy." Nice advice.

Just saying, dress for the crash. Not a party. Reasonable shoes. And truly you don't need all that crap. It aggravates me when people have huge carry on bags. And they have to stuff them in the overhead compartments. Even the doors won't latch. And they keep stuffing . It's a hazard.

My husband and I will be taking Avalon View on the Danube in July. I think it’s set up the same. My tip for rooms with few outlets is to bring a small power strip. Then you only need one outlet and adapter for that and several normal American plugs can go in the strip.

I live in Indonesia, and Level 8 luggages are not available here, I ordered it from Amazon, but it is more expensive as I have to pay “tax” on it again. Keep posting more videos.
