Hello I'm pretty late watching this because we were in Florida on vacation. We're home now in East Tennessee.

Unfortunately, the Amish have acquired a very negative reputation for the way they treat their workhorses. Many live a very harsh life and then are sold at auctions for slaughter when the years of harsh work have taken their toll. Lots of videos online of rescued Amish draft horses. I'm quite sure Amish people are very nice people, even the ones who abuse their horses. They don't consider it abuse and excuse the state of their draft horses that is witnessed at auctions by simply saying "they're workhorses." The reputation is there for a reason and not because there are just one or two "bad apples." Of course some Amish farmers treat their work horses better than other Amish farmers but it's usual to work them into the ground and then send them off to slaughter.

Alan you were wise to put a chute at your place to help you work with the horses. Good Job there Alan putting a halter on Apache Gold.

I wish you would keep that white dog away when your working these horses that do not like dogs because they have had bad experiences with dogs in the reservation. When that dog is around mama is getting stressed out, can you not see that. I hate to see it happening again and again.

They are both beautiful babies, 😊 my favorite color way is the buckskin, so of course I think he is beautiful. lol raw hide is gorgeous to me. But besides that momma is also gorgeous with her lighter paint colors. As for the "rug" that would be hung on a wall not used as a rug. lol to gorgeous for it’s called use. Tfs ❤😊

I love the weaved rugs! They are beautiful and one of a kind. I know making handmade rugs, blankets, quilts, as I am a quilter and knitter, that you can not sell your handmade items for a large profit. We do it for the love of making the items. That rug will last forever if take care of properly! Apache and Kindness are so beautiful. Which horse was it that came running up toward the end of the video, they look chestnut with a white blaze? They were very beautiful too!!
