They are fun for sure, i just wish it was easier to get to the top and or part somewhere closer.

@@TheShift1313 No kidding, the climb up McDonald Hollow can be brutal. I find climbing the trails, instead of the fire road (highway) much easier.

I might try to get out there this afternoon, although I usually go in the morning. Of course that'll have to change once the kids get back to school.

Thanks. Hard to believe that was 1p years ago! That drz was a good bike. It was a 2002 s model i converted. I had street tires as that was my commuter bike. Continential sm attack i think. Super sticky. You could burn them up at the track

​@@bunnymanmoe8819 not sure if its still open or not. I think years ago it was better. Had jumps and more events. I think if you are close and need a place to eide it works. There used to be a private mx track right off 81 near jmu. I think it was invite only

Thanks. A lot goes into sliding a bike. It automatically comes with speed. If you have to try you are forcing it. On the track you go past your braking point where you would typically turn in. When you are hard on the brakes while turning in the back end gets light and drifts out. The down shifting is to match the rear wheel speed to your exit speed. Slow turn down to first gear. Faster only go to 2nd etc. Clutch work and or slipper clutch is used to keep the back wheel from going too slow. Rear brake is used a little to control chatter not to slide. There is a lot going on! Go to a track and it will come :)
