nothings changed -- it's still the gov V the people.
there are folk like this.
2024 still enjoy 😉 this comedy sitcom 😅😅
The British comedy writing and it's best
I watched that episode its looks if dialogue was dubbed on
Filmed in Leeds at Quarry Hill flats. Now demolished.
The audio is off on the last few shows😮
This was funny to Brits?
Freddie Fletcher , Jud from Kes...gotta say in Kes thats some of the best acting ive ever seen. what a character. Hands off cocks on socks.
Reported to you tube for deleting my opinions...
Great english stuff the way it supposed to be .al this inclusive d.i.e. is ruining society and comedy has become far left anti white garbage...1970❤
All those germs being breathed over them cream cakes !
As an American I've tried to like this tv show but it's honestly horrible. I suppose in the 70's and in Great Britan it might have been understood but it makes no sense to me. Diana deserved a well-written show and not this.
"Just look at how they spelt the Count in Dracula!" - I guess that one flew under the radar in the 70s ! 🤣
Diana Dors, I mean come on you don't get much more glamorous than her. She always looks a million dollars, even towards the end of her life she outshone those around her, a proper star she was, a nice lady too ❤️❤️❤️
A Pre 'Last Of The Summer Wine' Star Kathy Staff in an rare comedy appearance before she struck gold with Wrinkled Stockings.
First time, not the last. Ms Dors as loverly as every….
As funny as finding a mouldy turd in yer kettle
they had some nice birds on this show
fucked up audio
Poor Diana must have been short a few Bob to do this tripe!
Black dress - now we're talking. Cooking with gas. Locked and loaded, packing heat. Dressed to kill. Knockout. Bombshell. I think you get the idea. A-ba-a-ba-ba-ba-ba-ba
The dracula line was funny
The kid ...brian sweeney thats him out of the beefburger ads from the 70s early 80s.
I'm reminded when watching this video of the struggle my late mother, who was widowed very young in the early sixties did her best to bring up five children under the age of six while running a hundred acre farm in a time when everything was labour intensive and money was very scarce. I admired my mother for her hard-working ethnic as I do this wonderful, simple living woman who puts her farm first before the trappings of a more material life.
Freddie Fletcher and Lyn Perrie were of course in Kes 69. They later teamed up again in Coronation Street briefly. I always thought it was filmed in London not Leeds as Diana had made London her second home.I was wrong. One last point. Diana left £50,000 to her children but her real assets of up to £2 million was spread across Europe in banks and safe deposit boxes. The money couldn't be found, but you can bet your life someone knew where it was. She was a mystery our Diana, she knew all the gangsters of the day including the Krays and the East End inside out.
1971 the start of decimalisation. Seems a long time ago.
Growing up in Ireland it reminds me of the harsh times our people had with very little both here and of course in many parts of England as seen in the video
What a beautfull lady
Have you only got so many of the episodes uploaded?
What on earth is she shouting at 8:17?
Does anyone know what the music is at the start of this please
vaughan williams fantasia on a theme by thomas tallis
Quarry Hill had only just been built when this was made, and already it looked like a fucking dump. Heck, it was a fucking dump - from the beginning! And yet, by the early 90s, the residents had been moved out of what was already a decaying, vandalised, white elephant, the government spent millions converting it into the national offices for the DSS, or something, with plus squash courts et al, for all those southerners from around London that they relocated on a generous expenses package, who sold their houses and bought another one for about a third of the price in Leeds, with some of that generous relocation allowance, but hey, fuck all the locals who were out of work at the time.
The truth listen to the Bainbridge family, shepherding is a hard life i can Tell you! Hannah was used and that was wrong. Our life is hard forget the romantic music it a grinding tough life.
What do you meen she was used please
F*cking Grim
And Nora Batty in it too! The brilliant Kathy Staff!
I've seen this before and it blew me away. The people were gold. I couldn't believe Hanna was 46 Y I was shocked. I could see into her soul and it made me so sad still does these years later. I'm still lost for word's, I have a connection from afar. I'm Irish and I know hard time's like these people did. I'm a city person but the soul had no borders. ✌️ ☘️
Peter Ellis (CS Brownlow in the Bill) in a non-speaking role as the court clerk. Bryan Mosley (Alf Roberts in Coronation Street) as Jeremy, the barman.
How come the opening titles in colour from later series look exactly the same? I heard there was a lost episode of something like Are You Being Served recorded in black -&-white video and yet all the colour info was somehow encoded on the old video tape and so converting to colour was easy
There was a colour strike at ITV companies which ran from 13 November 1970 to 8 February 1971, this affected a lot of ITV companies programmes that were made during that time, this being one of them.
OMG, Douglas 🤣
When Leeds used to have a great city centre & market. It's horrendous now !!!
Tuesday 5th September 1972. Last episode.
The milkman also had a role as a worker in the toilet factory in Carry on at Your Convenience.
Tragic.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view!" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
Bet ya pound to a penny rishi sunaks family claimed supplementary benefits
