    That was interesting. I think the victorians used cold bath therapy as an aid for insomnia. They would then get into a warm bed. The cold shower sounds similar to the feel good effects swimmers have after cold wild water swimming.

    Hi thanks for this informative video. Lately after exercising for more than a year i noticed that exercising non stop 3 times a day -morning 30 mins, evening 30 mins and then after dinner 30 mins for a full year without breaks was wonderful in dropping my blood sugar to very good levels. It even tipped over into hypo many times which necessitated reduction in insulin units used. Then recently I'd been experiencing not so good numbers after exercising. Did some research and found that over exercising could produce cortisol and or adrenaline response which can spike the blood sugar levels. It was really a case of doing too much of a Good thing which turned bad for me. Am i right in my assessment? What should I do? Thanks.

    The best way to start with cold water exposure is not directly on the head but after a warm shower start with cold water on the feet/ lower legs and after 2- 3days full leg … work slowly upwards . You will love cold exposure after every warm shower , after few weeks you will manage. cold only .!

    Glad to see you both together on screen again, I try to use many of the therapies as possible, cold water therapy is only 1 of them. I also include Earthing/Grounding and light therapy. As far as cold water goes I also take a hot shower follow up with immediate switch to cold for 4 to 5 minutes.

    Stupid gut won't go away, but just checked the skin tags in my pitty that's been there for decades, and they're gone!🤯 I hadn't even noticed till I just watched this video! 🤗 We've cut as much seed oils as possible, sugar, usually 1 meal a day, snacking on pumpkin seeds, nuts, and such, but once in awhile have chips fried in avocado oil, or make homemade popcorn cooked in coconut oil.

    When I did keto in 2020 (I lost weight instead of gaining during the pandemic) I lost 120 pounds in 8 months, and went from diabetic (just inched into diabetic from pre-diabetic) to not even pre-diabetic in about three months. I did a lot of keto sweets (man, those chocolate peanut butter cheesecakes were GOOD!), but almost all of them, I made myself. The only treat I bought was keto ice cream. It might work *better* without the treats, but it did work, as long as you make them yourself.

    My husband hops into our pool in winter, it ranges from 16-10 degrees Celsius. He is much happier and BP came down. He has never been overweight. I try it occasionally but I find it so hard, I do have about 10 kilos to lose. I’m working up to it 😅

    70 isn't cold, that's room temperature! It's well known that rinsing your hair after shampooing, in cold water, less than 50 degrees, makes it shiny and strong, so it would follow that rinsing your whole body in cold water could also be beneficial. Decades ago, when we couldn't afford to fill the propane tank, which fueled the hot water heater and kitchen stove, cold showers was all we had, and this was in a very cold location in the Sierra Nevada's.

    As a very low-income single guy of 60, receiving no government checks, I live on two bowls of cereal per day. Have tried to pick the best yet affordable ones. I use the long method, eating the first bowl for breakfast around 4am, and the second one for dinner (supper here in the South) at about 4pm.

    One more thing doc, if you are going to address yourself as a doctor, then put DC behind your name so everybody knows that you're not a medical doctor. You're not a nutritionist, certified diabetes educator, or in the medical field. You basically adjust backs and have a side hustle of trying to sell continuous glucose monitors. LoL

    First of all you're not a real doctor, you are a masseuse. Why is a chiropractor speaking to a general audience about insulin resistance? I've been a type 1 diabetic for over 30 years. If I had cgm glucose readings from 78-113 mg/dl, I would be jumping for joy. Your readings are of a person that's not diabetic. Someone who says they are a (real) doctor and are trying to sell you a product is a conflict of interest. A male who has a waist line of 40 inches or larger maybe a sign of insulin resistance? LMAO, what about if I'm 6'8" ? It would have been more real if you would have said body mass index. So yeah doc, I give myself insulin, I eat, and then my blood sugar goes up to 472mg/dl for three hours. What do I do doc, massage out the blood sugar out of my body? 😂

    I asked my Dr for a fasting insulin test when he was already doing a metabolic panel and he absolutely refused. His comment was, “You are insulin resistant, we know your insulin will be high.” That was the last straw. I am getting a new traditional Dr and a functional medicine Dr.

    The challenge here is: sugar, flour, and seed oils are not 'food', they're an *ingredient* in food. So, this is just saying 'eliminate foods with these ingrediets in them', which means you have to be concerned with the details after all. It's too simplistic to just say 'eliminate ingredient x'. Doing that takes a lot of effort and detail. And that 'detail' is the real problem.

    I was 204+ lbs, now 182lbs and still falling. I started low cab 9 months ago. In the last month I went ultra-low carbs not even a tiny amount of rice bread ect.. I stopped taking insulin too. My numbers are usually 80-120. When I get my new heath insurance, Probably veterans VA, I'll ask them about a cgm and these tests. Right now I am testing a lot, to make sure my BG is under control. But testing 5+ times a day is expensive and a pain in the butt.

    I’ve been doing a 30 grams of carbs daily, 12 hours fast, 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a weeks with 20 minutes of weight training and my 70 year old body can’t lost more fat. I still have abdominal wall fat. What do to when you hit a plateau?
