I now make lasagna without the pasta. So easy. Put homemade or frozen meatballs in the bottom of a bowl. I recommend a deepish bowl with straight sides. Scoop 2 heaping tablespoons of ricotta cheese over the meatballs. Next layer on your favorite pasta sauce or diced/stewed tomatoes. Finish with a nice helping of grated Italian-blend cheese & microwave on High for 6-8 minutes [depending on wattage]. Pasta-less lasagna.

Redmond’s Real Salt makes a fantastic taco seasoning without the fillers. They also have a Chili Lime seasoning which is perfect with the taco seasoning. Thank you for the great quick yummy ideas and recipes!
Easy taco/chili base- 1 tsp each (per pound of meat):
Cumin
Salt
Chili, Onion and Garlic powders
Paprika
For tacos, add one extra teaspoon of cumin or for chili, add one extra teaspoon of chili powder. And if you get heartburn, I'd leave out the paprika.
I love sausage and peppers or sausage and sauerkraut.
I know to be careful of the sausage for hidden sugars and fillers. I have learned to read the labels.
I always make my own taco seasoning to have on hand.

@@beckygillaspy thank you so much for all the years of hell I really enjoy your channel most of all actually you really are the only one that I'm listening to now because you're way of doing the intermittent fasting has finally clicked with my body and find me getting rid of the sugar has been the key my age is now 73 and we started this journey in 2018 I actually have lost 80 lb over the years where is ketogenic diet butt now I can say I'm working on keeping it off!!!; the best thing is the intermittent fasting and knowing that food and the amount of food is not priority in my life and learning not to eat when stressed and stop eating at night has been the key for me. Of course adding the water in my life!!!!!
You mentioned the cornstarch in the taco seasoning but nothing about the maltodextrin. Can you please do a video on the dangers of maltodextrin.

Taco in a bowl is one of my fav meals. Don't forget to add some avocado or guac for those healthy (and delicious) fats!
I've tried pork rinds as bread crumbs in the past but they seemed oily. I never thought of adding the parmesan cheese. Thank you for your videos 🌺

Egg is always good for keto
Try a soup supper. A tofu egg-drop soup with mushroom and spinach is great. Use boxed low salt chicken broth upped with a Tsp of chopped garlic and 1/2 tsp of crushed ginger. Additional low carb veg can also be added along with left over BBQ chicken or mini meat balls (cooked and browned in advance). The latter could replace the tofu for variety.

Frittata with lots of sausage, cheese, and whatever veg is left in the frig (cooked broccoli or zucchini is a fav). The custard portion is eggs, cream, and a little water.
Definitely a taco salad...But I've grown to appreciate chicken broccoli alfredo bake without the pasta.
Taco salad, Italian Sub Salad, Greek chicken salad, Chicken Cobb Salad. I just make sure I get a full serving of protein in each one.

I like to add leftover tri tip to a bowl of bone broth. Then I add cheese and a half an avocado. It sounds weird but it is soooo good! And very filling!!

After all these years eating low carb I prefer foods that require little cooking. I still cook meal for the hubby. But I really prefer simple whole foods.

For the Breaded Chicken recipe, what other fish are keto-friendly? I'm partial to salmon, but I'd like to try other fish for variety.
Any fish would work, cod and haddock are easy.

Mine was egg roll in a bowl, when I was still keto.
Can you advise us on whether it's OK to roast nuts (especially walnuts and pecans) before eating them? I learned to do this years ago as it adds a deeper flavor, especially if baking with roasted nuts. But, does it change the nutritional value of the omega fats?
You can lightly toast them in the oven.
I’d like to gain weight with the possibility of pre diabetes possibly out of it all together and ckd 3a. I have lost too much weight. My doc’s dietitian suggested all foods contrary to my health problems. These are complex carbs including potatoes.
Is that 10g of Net carbs per meal? I’m currently pretty happy at 50g of net carbs.

I'm in New Zealand and will try this chicken dish with Dukkah seasoning made from ground walnuts, almonds, sesame seeds, herbs and salt instead of pork rinds. Maybe you have that in the UK?

I wish you had more vegetarian recipes. There's a lot of meat in the meals you describe.
Get creative. It’s generally pretty easy to adapt a recipe. For example, season black beans for a taco salad instead of ground beef.

Love to watch your channel Becky but do not agree with adding anything to your coffee or tea. It will 100% break your fast whether or not you get a rise in blood sugar. Think of it as - could you have milk, MCT or additives if you were about to have surgery? No, absolutely not, because it is a "food" and your body treats it that way. It could also make your fast harder because your body thinks it is food and it is wanting more, thinking you are about to eat. Again, love your calm manner and agree with most of what you say but have to politely disagree with this one point!

I thought LMNT tasted like straight salt . I got the variety pack and it tasted disgusting!!🤢 🤢🤢🤮 totally undrinkable.
I also tried it (Raspberry flavor), I found it to be very tasty. Yes, you can tell it is salty, but I love it. Someone else recommended Citrus or orange, which I may try, but I highly enjoy the raspberry.
