Today I have an old 2004 Gaming I'm going to refurbish and try some games on. Although it was a pre-built, the GPU in it was pretty high end for the time. Audio Drivers That Worked: www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/realtek_ac97_drivers.html

Pc with laptop hardware like and sub or something
You can put a SATA M.2 drive in there and upgrade your storage even more. I am surprised at your Cinebench rating. I have a laptop with Ryzen 7 3700u which gives 3050 points in multi-core. Ryzen 5 2500u should be giving around 750 points in single core and 2500-3000 points for multi-core in Cinebench R23. Somehow your CPU is being throttled. Check the performance settings, run the benchmark while connected to power. Re-apply the thermal paste of the CPU if that helps. Edit: I realized you used the 2024 version. Ignore my comment.
I got the same pc with a monitor for 65pln (around 16 usd) but with a i3, throwed in a gt 1030 and it works preatty nice
Those hard drive caddy's were in all older OEMs back in the the early mid 2000s can't comment if they have them now but I guess it made assembly line process smoother am assuming
cool video
5:10 my dad's pc was much worse than this.
Made a nice build man the user can easily play old story games on high graphics and new story games close to 60 fps with moderately high graphics GREAT JOB, its just that one thing makes my ear itch is the amount for space that cpu cooler takes the user is going to have problem cleaning that pc. (If they clean it themselves that is)
I made the PC for my sister so i'll probably end up cleaning it lol
What was the gpu
rx 6600
Nice video Keep it up u gained a sub
I loved finding out of how you could scuff random components up so much
I was fiending for another ScuffedPCs video thank you for uploading
FIRST!!!!
btw, how much did the build cost?
Fun video, subbed.
Hell yeah I love old school free finds!
why would such kinda of desktop even exists
over surplus of laptop parts, made this for people who want desktop form factor i guess.
6:53 what game is that?
Townscaper, its 5$ on steam
i had a q6600cpu and 2x8800gt sli in 2008 to play counter strike. starcraft would run great on the pc you found but not css. ut was more popular back then
I could see people on a budget buying those. If you don't need an optical drive the case could get a lot smaller. A used NUC depending on the price could be a much better deal. That is despite the fact that NUCs are made with parts you would find inside a laptop, the CPU most notably. I like NUCs because they are very portable. A monitor to use one with is a lot less portable since a lot more care must be taken transporting them or they get permanently damaged.
5 months and he still cant find it
i never found it 😭😭 but i got another one
@@ScuffedPCs so make part 2, I have pretty much seen all your videos and I enjoy watching.
@@goose-the-gamer I have two videos in the works atm. That will def be next
You can fix that gaming laptop probably got a corrupted bios it’s quite simple to fix it just see a video on how to fix a corrupted bios
I just had nightmares to these things. But yeah, mostly they're actually running Mini-ITX parts whichare meant for really tiny cases.
Maybe the Nvidia gpu had to low memory and it couldn't load textures n models?
Linux is disgusting, install windows
Intresting...
😭😭😭😭
I had an HP a200n a back in the day, same case as yours. Love the case design and that machine. Mine didnt have an AGP slot through just PCI and a Intel Celeron
I learned a thermal paste cleansing hack from Colton over in Hardware Haven: coffee filters. Using them with isopropyl made cleansing so much easier and dont have to worry about them falling apart like some paper towels. Can use the same filter to clean a lot of surface area
I love hardware haven, his channel is partially why I started mine. I would try this, but I dont have coffee filters lol.
Interesting video
Probably surplus laptop parts as you said - this was slow back in 2014. Sad.
Amd fanum tax 😂
very nice penguin
Man this computer just screamed e-waste even back in 2015. Not worth the time spent to reformat or replace the hard drive of it's previous owner. Even the AC adapter was more useful as a replacement for a compatible laptop.
i have a very similar board in my HP AIO PC
ok, i have a system with no gpu, 1 gb ddr2 ram, and a pentium 4, and gta3 has no issues and runs like a dream, and the pc a a stock dell optiplezz gx280
whered you get it? and i love your lighting, what lights do you use?
nvm you got it from a family member, but what lights?
I just use RGB light strips I got from walmart lol
Something really useful, would be how the desklap handles power outages. Sure, its not really a good computer due to the specs. And the spinning drive and laptop ram but. Picture yourself, working on a college essay. Until suddenly. The power ran out. You wouldn't lose anything due to the laptop power supply!
yeah for 2 seconds or so and then you lost also anything... 😂
@@pv8685 yea, I always dreamed of computers that can do this 😭😭😭 How common are these atm? I wanna get one
Not true, you can remove the hard drive without taking the caddy off, just push a lock mechanism on the right of the caddy and slide the hdd upwards. i had a pc with the same case.
i think ssd m2 die
'Promo sm' 🎉
With ryzen 5 2500u and vega 8 2gb graphics you can do plenty of things even play games but... it will be really limited.
I got some games working after this video. Its a pretty capable APU, but yeah, it is limited.
@@ScuffedPCs only reason i mentioned it because i have it in my laptop along with dedicated rx570 4gb graphics.
Removing the front bezel might have gotten easy access to the other two hard dive screws.
Maybe Just perform a BIOS update from samsung support website
we love making EVIL pc's, good video you need more subs you deserve it
did you happen to have a hp flyer or a toshiba satellite C55 or so? the underside of your spare laptop looks very familiar to me
i have a 240psu can gtx750ti 4gb work whit it pla ans
Swap 6800 with the AMD card and try that
I've got a Ryzen based machine from an off brand, Wally World special. It's got an artificial limit on one of the M.2 slots on my model. The primary slot is NVME enabled, but the secondary slot is SATA only. I've got my OS and normal data on the primary. I slapped an old SATA drive in the second slot for video storage. The next model up didn't have that limitation.
And that laptop is a 2019 manufacture date, so pretty similar to yours.
Nice video. As for the M.2 drive if it was a ( B-Key ) drive then it's Sata , { M-Key } = NVME. Checking it for how it's formatted with a seperate system would be what I would do. Could check the Bios and see what it says about the type of M.2 that it has support for. As for the ram ; since it's gonna be an editing machine maybe a higher capacity ram module then 8-gb might help. The Vega-8 IGPU isn't bad , but compared to even an entry level RDNA model the performace you got is probably the best you could expect. The extra ram could maybe help with the graphics performance. I didn't notice if you said anything about a bios update ; just that you went into the bios. I always like to watch these videos on upgrading laptops and how they perform before and after. Keep up the wonderful work and videos.
I didn't even know this Samsung laptop before. I feel like last time seeing Samsung Laptop is uncertain. Either 2016 even 2019 😅😂. And what I know so far is their Galaxy Book series
Those 6800s on AGP are actually pretty pricey even today on the second hand market. It was the RTX 4070 of 2006
Yeah, I noticed that when researching this gpu on ebay, do you have any clue why?
@@ScuffedPCs AGP cards are well known for failure so cards that HAVENT failed yet are very sought after.
@@qtlunacyy Doesn't have anything to do with AGP. These run hot and they need new paste and thermal pads. AGP systems usually have 0 airflow cases so probably that's why "agp fails".
@@ScuffedPCs it's expensive because it's a great card for retro collectors and retro gaming systems. It's one of the best cards you can get on AGP. That thing can run almost any game from 2000 to 2008 if the rest of the system is up to it
@@laur6405 eh, sounds about right 🤷♂️
Ok, I tried to lookup specs on your model model. No tech specs found. so here is the rub. the m.2 slots ( as far as I know - still learning ) is that it supports either 1) wifi cards 2) sata drives 3) nvme drives - but this is an either/or - not any choice of.
thank you!
I reckon that's not actually directly from a laptop, but more likely they took parts meant to go in the tiny 1L style chassis and instead stuck it in a much larger one so they could use a 5.25" drive and make it look like it's worth more than it is.
