Spoilers "Is my deepest fear just sleeping on the job? I'm so *lame*!" Was hilarious but, also can we talk about the deep underlying things behind that fear? Like Riz literally cannot sit still without trying to solve something. He cannot let things go. He has to plan and search and solve and he does all of those better alone. Both of his parents made him a more official investor as a sign of love. His dad told him solving things and working is a way to show love. His friends need him to solve things to literally survive a lot of the time. To stop and be still and rest and take care of himself is to risk losing everyone. Is to risk the world taking more of the people he loves from him. If he stops for even a moment he might miss something and then why would anyone want him around anymore? He is a goblin and he is both obliviously weird and also weird in ways he cannot change. But at least he can channel that weirdness into being helpful. And if he is helpful then people will like him. Maybe even keep him around. It might not be as dramatic as Adaine or Fig's visions, but taking a nap on the job for Riz mirrors both of their fears so much. Idek if any of this makes sense. I just have a lot of thoughts and feels about Riz's whole vision.
