So obviously Brennan is fantastic at voices, but his sound effects are off the charts in this season. The growling he does for Tracker when she starts to lose control is bone-chilling.
His growls are nuts!! Makes me want to practice mine so badly.

@@johnraymma there is no official conversion but that's usually the range people who try calculate it arrive at.
@@AzureImperium7701X I've seen calcs based on purchasing power (and like, cost of living and whatever) typically land around roughly 100usd = 1gp, which puts 1 copper conveniently at $1.
I've also seen one or two calcs putting 1gp around $25-35 but i've defo seen upwards of 1gp = $100-200 a lot more often.
(apparently the $100 estimation matches up to some dnd-to-irl currency comparisons made in older manuals, but i've only heard that claim on account of memory on forums here and there; haven't seen it myself.)
@@johnraymma I mean a gold is a good amount of money. Normal people don't typically have a ton of gold like adventuring PCs would. The usual conversion I've heard is $50 per gp but it definitely depends on what you want to do for your game.

I have no idea how Murph didn't cry, or even the rest of them, especially Lou, during these scenes with Riz's dad, cause I'm absolutely balling with happy tears at how wholesome it is, especially as someone who hasn't had a decent relationship with my own father

Brennan is the nicest DM I have ever seen, he has more patience than any I have ever personally met (judging by what we're able to watch, at least). To be frank, I would have lost my patience with a group like this a long time ago and been much more brutal in my "there are consequences for your actions" story beats. To call some basic, introductory dungeon crawler traps suffering is very conducive to someone that does not know what suffering looks like in a ttrpg :p no offence.
@1emotional2 Whats the basic trap? Having your allies all dissapear into nothingness and be put on a very short timer to live? Also, he usually opts for the emotional damage route rather than near tpk suffering.
@@MaximusChivus Pretty light on the emotional damage. I wish I had DMs this nice. And yes, every trap we see in this episode is a basic, introductory dungeon trap.

I thought this when the whole time thing was happening, but they chose not to do it then because it would make the shadowcat suspicious. And then maybe they would accelerate killing them and they wouldn’t have time to make the potion. So either way they were screwed.
Riz wasn't there for that, so ultimately the jig would still be up. They had previously reasoned that the second she could see someone that she should have been able to jump into and couldn't, she'd know they had gotten one over on her. Brennan's setup for the big fight in hell seemed to almost be tailored to countering that strategy if they had gone for it. Offing Gilear immediately ensured that there would be at least one turn where Kristen wasn't GRing Riz, then introducing so many elements to the fight kept her busy with more immediate threats until he could have Riz get cannoned away from the party
Brennan roleplaying through a season and a half of sessions with Adaine where she keeps casting hideous laughter or ray of sickness in every interaction with any antagonist and deciding to whip up a magical punching spell for her 👌🥰❤ wonder how much time the DM spends between each session to come up with all the cool non-plot-essential things they're going to sprinkle in for their players
That and also typically after Adaine tries to cast Tasha’s Hideous Laughter or Ray of Sickness, she just tries to throw a punch and she has notoriously poor strength rolls.
I sit Riz down at a table and slide a plate of cake and a plate of garlic bread over to him.

This is the first episode where I got really frustrated at the players for not figuring out the mystery. I'd been moderately confused right up until they described Kalina as a disease, and it then it fully clicked.

They have no idea that the curse will stop if they give away the money, they’ve already spent some. And whoever they give it to is fine so it’s just absolutely insane for 3 of them to just give away all of their money. Gorgug has been trying to give his money away for multiple episodes watch in the next episode there’s gonna be like a super cool upgrade to the van he can’t afford or something 😂
