Most Successful Fighter Jet of All Time?
When it comes to aviation, there are lots of awards to give out. The fastest, the stealthiest, the most expensive. But when it comes to sheer popularity, and sales, no other supersonic fighter jet is more prolific than the MIG-21. Was the MiG-21 the most Successful Fighter Jet of All Time?

The GHOST of Kyiv - Ukrainian Pilot Ace is Unbelievable
zhlédnutí 72KPřed 2 lety
These are truly unprecedented times, and sometimes we all need a hero. A symbol to raise morale and inspire. But who exactly is the Ghost of Kyiv? Does he even exist? The ghost of Kyiv is a Ukrainian fighter pilot credited with over 6 Russian kills, which would make him the first ace of the 21st century. Thanks to the internet, we're hearing stories as they unfold, and I can't think of a more i...
The F-15 is Making a Comeback!
zhlédnutí 166KPřed 4 lety
The F-15 Eagle debuted in the 1970s, and with it, ushered in a new era. For decades, the mere presence of an F-15 in the skies caused many enemy aircraft to think twice before engaging. And it’s no wonder, with the F-15’s 104 victories and astonishing 0 losses. But almost 50 years later, and we have more advanced 5th generation planes like the F-22 Raptor and the F-35 JSF. So is it time to put ...

Secret German Flying Wing Nearly Changed the War
F22 is not indestructable just cos its American sometimes americans must realise that they have met their match infact its good to be underated!
F-18 will never come close to the technological advances the F-35 employs. More maneuverable- sure... but modern warfare has gone beyond maneuverability. L it would be like upgrading a Horse and Carriage with Bluetooth.
...However.. once the F-22 fires an AMRAAM at the Typhoon the Typhoon will know the missile is approaching and from where it was launched. If it happens to be a Typhoon operated by one of the nations that use the IRIS-T then it can launch that IRIS-T missile to intercept the AMRAAM with a high chance of success. Unlike other short to medium range IR missiles the IRIS-T can not only be used against aircraft but also against small targets such as A2A missiles, SAMs, drones or S2S missiles. The Ukraine is currently using the IRIS-T SL air defense system, a surface launched variant of the IRIS-T used by the Typhoon. So with that being said and the Typhoon's far superior defense suite compared to the almost non-existent F-22's defense subsystems a merge within visual range may not always be avoidable for the F-22 even if it fires the first shot. After a merge the Typhoon not only is the more agile and efficient aircraft, it also has the capability of launching it's IRIS-T missiles at extreme off boresight angles 360° all around, which the F-35 can do but F-22 to this day still cannot do. Not exactly a very fair dog fight when one jet has to work hard in order to point the nose towards the opponent, while the other can simply shoot missiles 'out of his a...' I mean 'towards the rear'. Let's also not forget that both aircraft will typically not operate without networking and receiving external targeting information. With several modern radar systems capable of detecting stealth fighters like the F-22 at considerable distances chances are that a Typhoon, especially when operating in European airspace will know of the F-22s presence well before the Typhoon's own on- board sensors can detect it. With the Lock On After Launch (LOAL) capable MBDA meteor missile's range outclassing any missile the F-22 can carry this potentially gives the Typhoon the advantage of being able to strike first should the F-22 be detected and the Typhoon be provided (approximate) data of location and heading via the network. Last but not least, F-22s have been flying around without any stealth coating a lot lately, making them rather non-stealthy 4.5th gen aircraft much like the Typhoon. But to be fair, in times of conflict the stealth coating on F-22s in (combat) operation would probably be repaired.
The plane crashed due to one engine shit itself.
Goooo su 57... rip them
Just for correctnes, the Eurofighter radar have a range of 185km, not 50km like you told… 😉
Snoopy dog fighting the red baron would beat both the Raptor and the Typhoon. Am I right?

A 2013 study..... seems like the Rand Corporation should do another study, since their conclusions are dated and may no longer be relevant.
I don't think you truly understand what the F35 does.
The 18 is a better plan All around it has a Go high ceiling and range in good speed 111 would have been good to
This page doesnt know what its talking about lol
They did make 3 separate variants of the F-35.
Geee F-111 all over again.
Useless planes those
None of that would have given the f18 lower visibility. But in reality they did create 3 completely different aircraft.
Most 'Threats" we hear about on the "news" is propaganda. Make you believe this country has something that we can't defend against. Which gets more money put into the military budget. Which means Lockheed, Boeing, etc get tons more money then they already ate.
How this thing made it past all the red tape I won't ever understand. This thing has more "death" failed missions then successful missions =/... I would never ride in it.
Fake news
Hi Michael, why would you say that? did you watch the whole video?
@@ProjectDaVinci probably because you used an auto-caption service of some sort and they came out super wrong when talking about the aircraft names (EAATEN instead of EA-18). Me being a plane nerd, I know your information is true, but you lose credibility from the ones that don’t know planes by seeing weird captions. Makes it look like you don’t know what you’re talking about.
No he's right, f35 b has different wings than f35c and is way heavier. Part similarly is only at like 25%. That's nothing. Besides, the f22 in combat games almost never use its maneuverability due to its very effectivestealth. It makes sense to build a heavy plane that will hopefully be more upgradeable than the very hard to upgrade f22. Lastly f25 is way cheaper, because we don't have to count all money put in by all the partner nations. They designed 5 planes and the US uses 3 of them. If you count the cost savings, we get a great deal.
This short serves no purpose
Isn't he the same guy who GAVE AWAY THE PANAMA CANAL???
Oooops!!
Jimbo was a pure d loser.
He was what 6-12 months late on ordering the attempt. When it should have been done day of.
The raptor's the best stealth fighter but the typhoon's the best non stealth
remember when reagan made em wait till after he was elected to rescue the hostages?
Yep, cavorting with the enemy to look extra good.
My father was a fighter plane mechanic in North Africa. When he saw this about to happen, he said that shit is going to go sideways, son. When it ended he walked away saying. "dumbass politicians and and generals" I guess he had an ww2 piss off.
My Uncle worked for the company that manufactured the helicopters used in that mission. The military personnel removed special air filters that had been added to the engines because they "took up too much room in the cabin". That's why they had the helicopter failures.
Sikorsky, was the company....and CH-53 was the chopper type... I might remember wrong....but they took off from an aircraft carrier in the Gulf and had to remove the sand filters (and everything else that was not necessary) because of the distance to reach Teheran....the fuel, even with external tanks, would not be enough for a return trip with the hostages... By the way, the sand filters were placed over the air intakes just under the rotor, if im not completely off...
One of the US military's most abysmal failures. 😝
One of the worst presidents in history. His only saving grace was he was a nice guy
A couple times every year I hear of a couple crashes were a bunch of Marines got killed😢
❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Still lots of crashes
3 UH-60s crashed last year vs one osprey. Oh and a CH-53 crashed in February. Tiltrotors have a crash rate of 3.2 vs helicopters 9.8
@@Predator42ID I'm glad the failure rate is down. Can the osprey auto rotate?
@@george2113 Yes but not very well given its weight and compromises needed to get it to fit inside ships. For the most part, it relies on the vast number of fail safes. There haven't been any more large casualties in a while. The V-280 Valor the Blackhawks replacement took lessons learned from the Osprey and can auto-rotate, glide, and even run on one engine. That said auto-rotation hasn't been used in combat in over ninety years of military aviation. Since it requires altitude and speed to work, two things military helicopters aren't doing fifty feet off the deck. Also thank you, thank you for listening well and reading.
You haven't uploaded a video in over a year. What's up ?
Don't think Soviets cared for "fishbed" moniker, as this word has no equivalent in Russian language.
Watching this great video a second time, I noticed one insignificant but funny error near the end of the video. You referred to the MiG-15 as the "younger sibling" of the MiG-21 but it was actually the older of the two (by quite a margin). 😁
My bad, 😅 thanks for watching.
nice clickbait bro
your welcome :) . Thanks for watching :)

How many kinds of Fleas are there in our world! Would there be fleas with different functions? Hmm...😊
An F16 can do the job but not like an A10 can. An A10 can do the job but not like a bomber can. A bomber can do the job but not like a stealth bomber can. The same is true in reverse. Multi role is the jack of all trades, but the the master of none
The biggest issue i have is taking different types of aircraft and blending them into one. A single role aircraft will do its job better. Than a multi role aircraft at the same job
No one aircraft can do it all. It might be great at one thing but will be just okay with something else. Some contractor lined a lot of pockets to get the government to allow this.
The f-35 is a massive success and to state otherwise shows a complete lack of understanding.
Dingle berry brained buffoons like this guy misleads people into thinking as soon as the requested number of F-35'S are delivered all those other platforms will be gone, NOT TRUE, most importantly of these other platforms will be used as weapons carriers where the F-35 will be in forward positions the orhers cant go into and target aircraft or anti aircraft batteries, as the older platforms are aged out they wont be replaced by like aircraft, by then our 6th gen will be flying
A multi-tool (multi-role) is a compromise in design and the F-35 has shown that as true. Indicators that the F-35 has fallen short are the new F-16 and F-15 programs that were rushed out. Also, they are still trying to find a replacement for the A-10.
The F-35 is actually capable and one of - if not the most flexible and adaptive airframes in the world. The old Fighter Mafia ideas are garbage and a waste of taxpayer money, the A-10 is antiquated, underpowered, and the “survivablity” was gravely exaggerated - and made for great friendly fire missions. Anyone who disagrees has not been in or around anyone in the aerospace defense industry in the last 15-20 years.
Money laundering
Usually, trying to hit the target with less work is dumb, and hitting a target nobody can see is genius. Do not mistake the two- is that what the military is doing with the joint strike fighter jet program?
Is this a Trump idea on why he jacked the deficit from 2 trillion to 32 trillion dollars?
Professional troll😅
NOT one aircraft can or want to do this.
It really can only replace the F/A-18 and AV-8B. Sooooo it was a disaster. 😂😂😂😂
