ACA Allertronic RE-1600 Wail Signal
This siren is located in Grand Prairie, Texas at Fire Station #1. I apologize for the video not being complete. The camera batteries died. I will try to re-film this soon.

Lewisville, Texas Whelen Siren Ambiance

The sirens heard are a 2810 and a Vortex R4. The 2810 is located at East Hill Park near the Lewisville Lake and does voice near the end of the test. The Vortex R4 is located in the Castle Hills subdivision.
My 4/5 Port Thunderbolt Siren Chopper Motor Test

Here is the first full test of my newly restored 4/5 port Federal Signal Thunderbolt chopper motor. The siren heard in the background is a Federal Signal 2001 which is part of the Carrollton, TX siren system.
ACA P-50 Growl Tests

Here is an ACA P-50 located in The Colony, TX. The city was having some radio trouble which was later resolved and they saw fit to give the siren a couple of growls to ensure it was operating properly.
Wichita Falls Thunderbolt Siren Test

This one of ten remaining Thunderbolts in Wichita Falls, Texas. This one will probably be replaced by next year. This siren sounds both Alert and Attack cycles. The background sirens are all Whelen 2810s sounding the Thunderbolt immitation tone. This siren was built in 1983.
Federal Signal 2001-130 Attack and "Silent" Test

This siren is in Carrollton, TX. I didn't have a ride, so I recorded the 2001 on my street. This siren was supposed to do alert and attack, however the dispatcher must have pushed the wrong button. After this siren winds down you can hear another 2001 in fast wail, and one of the Lewisville Whelens.
ASC Tempest 128 Siren Short Alert

This siren is in Richardson, TX. The 2T22 on the shorter pole has been abandoned in place.
Federal Signal STH-10 Alert and Attack

This siren is in Highland Village, TX. There is a 2001 siren only 1/4 of a mile away, you can hear it in the background. This siren sounds both signals.
ACA Allertor 125 Alert Signal

This siren is in Hurst, TX. There are a few more in the city, however I do not know their locations. This siren sounds a three minute Alert signal. I apoligize for the shakiness at the beginning, I was running late.

This siren is in Irving, TX. It sounds a three minute alert signal. These EOWS 612s will all be replaced in the next two years with new Federal Signal 508s

I lived here in Witchita Falls almost since the beginning of my life. Those Thunderbolts did a good job warning the citizens dthe 1979 major tornado storm.. Edit: hmm, maybe these were placed after the storm, if I correctly remember
The title is correct. This is a 4004 because Vortex lacks voice capability. If this model was able to perform the voice, that is direct indication that it's a 4004.

Looks like a Whelen Vortex, eh? In other words, I like the fast wind down before the voice.
It's a WPS-4000. The vortex isn't capable of delivering voice messages because of its controller.
Sirens of the Sunshine State I always think that some Whelen sirens are almost similar to a WPS-4004 or a Vortex. Because the siren speaker looks a lot like a Whelen Vortex or something. I never remember what type of Whelen it is. I’m mostly very curious. On the other hand I didn’t even know that all Whelen Vortex sirens are not programmed to do voice. It’s just my own opinion. Where I live we only have FS 2001 Sirens. They are electromechanical. They only do a steady alert signal.

the reason is bec A LARGE NUMBER of sirens were going overseas and the country they sent them to didn't pay for the sirens
