    Do not use a gl5 gear lube in a manual transmission. Gl5 lube is for differentials only at it contains sulfur as an additive that will damage any yellow metals ( syncros ) and eventually ruin your transmission.

    • @jimmyjamesgarage3290
      @jimmyjamesgarage3290 Pƙed 4 měsĂci

      It's awesome. It can run my whole house. Just not electric dryer, and I can only use 1 -2 burner on my electric stove tops. The stove & dryer draw the most electric current... However this generator can start up & run my 2.5 ton ac unit just fine. Just have to be mindful to not use stove at same time. I have it set up to plug into my house , running to electric panel through an interlock switch. The fact it has a low thd% of like 3% , I don't have to worry about ruining sensitive electronic devices (tv,cell phones, fridge... stuff with circuit boards) Champion came out with a newer version of this generator. It's more fuel efficient & can run on propane & Natural gas. Mine is only gasoline. I'd of bought the newer version, if it was available. Regardless I trust this to get me through an emergency. It fires up great & easy every time. I Don't think you can beat these Champion inverter generators due the price. I looked around a lot for the best bang for the buck.

    Did you have to keep refilling your transmission with fluid while you had the leak? Or how would you make sure the fluid level was good?

    • @jimmyjamesgarage3290
      @jimmyjamesgarage3290 Pƙed 4 měsĂci

      There is no good way to really check the fluid level. You have to drain & refill. You can try Taking out the fill bolt (above drain bolt on passenger side) and see if a little fluid dribbles out or try and put a finger/screwdriver/ pick in there and feel for fluid close to top of the fill line opening đŸ€·â€â™‚ïž. You could always just top it off. My leak wasn't that drastic. Doesn't take a lot of oil to start making a mess too. Good luck.

    I just bought one and built it on a wood foundation. It was fairly easy to install, although you need to watch to keep it square as the walls go up. I got mine from Menards also , about 5 years ago. I put it on a wood foundation on top of cement blocks. No problems with building it, but this summer i noticed all 4 corners were splitting open where the bend is. A quick email and phone call and i think in a week Suncast sent 4 new corners. I could clearly see a difference between the first set and second set of corners. So after installing the corners im happy again. I do give Suncast credit for standing by their warranty.

    That spring is a big no no. I remember when the New Edge cars were new and suffered from TOB noises. Ford changed the manufacturer for their TOB’s and had no more problems. People also tend to make the mistake of buying “Ford Performance” TOB’s and those are not OEM Ford parts. You have to buy genuine OEM Ford. Timken will make noise too eventually. Every manual trans that has a cable setup has TOB’s that make constant contact with the pressure plate. Imagine the TOB being stationary and you push in the clutch and out of nowhere it’s immediately spinning at 3K-5K rpm’s. That’s what causes failure too.

    • @jimmyjamesgarage3290
      @jimmyjamesgarage3290 Pƙed rokem

      Some good points for sure. Ford went to using national bearings as there oem bearing last I knew. The truth is they all fail because it's not a great design for longevity. I've been loving the spring. Keeps enough pressure on the shift fork & cable to keep my clutch pedal from rattling/jumping when just cruising around. The springs aren't very stiff at all. I've had no binding issues either with this setup. Also I do have my TOB touching the flywheel just slightly with little force. It's holding up great so far. Way better then the last TOB. But yeah, people argu both ways on how the tob fail due to having constant contact & no contact. Both have very valid points.

    I agree with a lot you said but you are a little off with underestimating the power potential of these cars . You can make 350 to 400 wheel horsepower N/A which will definitely beat a stock Coyote because it’s much lighter. If you boost it with the right moods you can even beat modded Coyotes . Yes the Coyotes make way more power mod for mod but that sticker price is about 2 to 3 times what you may pay for 1 of these Cobras !!!
