Going back through the past nfl dynasties of the 21st century, the patriots and chiefs never really had elite players other than the qb position. What they didnt lack was an elite coaching staff and elite qb play. If the bills coaching staff steps their game prep and playcalling, no one can stop this team.

Imho we have a better receiving corp than last year Overall better options, what we dont have is edge rushers that can wreck havoc, and the DBs may be interesting We will find out who Allen really is by mid season . Imho, i wont miss Diggs, albeit he was a great target

der Brady do you see the Bills coming out this year using run more to set up big plays using more play action plays. With Kromer now having his players up front and 4 returning starters I think sky's the limit with this line. Plus it would take so much pressure off Josh and he would then only having to change into his Superman cape when we only truly need him too. I also think using tighter formations will allow Kincade and Shakir more room to actually operate on the field. Also doing some reading up this weekend on Coleman he is an above avg blocking WR. Which really adds more value to his role this year while we try to develop him into that elite route runner and speed WR in that Unicorn X WR role everyone sees him developing into down the road. Also running tighter Sets and run first will also benefit Kincade this year because he'll have all kinds of space to operate in the middle of the field. Am I getting to far ahead of myself thinking this way for this upcoming season. Curious on your thoughts ? thank you

Josh Allen and a bunch of good players. I believe the Bills were guilty of over evaluating Gabe Davis. He ultimately didn't pan out as either a WR1 or WR2 which I believe the Bills thought they had after the 2021 season. Kincaid has the potential of becoming elite.

I think the Bills need to let their early draft picks play and let them grow/become superstars in 2024. Elam, Rousseau, Oliver, Kincaid, Shakir, Cook, Davis, Bernard, Bishop, Benford, Dorian Williams, Coleman are the future. Miller, Milano, Knox, Douglas may all be playing their last years as Bills. Nothing presonal - its a business and the guys who might be out have simply not played up to their contracts OR are too old/are on the downside of their playing days. 2024 is a free year for our Bills. Low expectations. Develop your young players and add key vets in FA in 2025 and make a SB run. That's how I see it.

Milano is elite when healthy. Kinkaid and Cook have the potential to be elite. Bias plays a part,, but the fact the Bills have only had one or two pro bowl players over the past years, is due to the fact the Bills don't have many superstars. This is also why the Bills keep getting cock blocked by teams like the chiefs that have 6 or 7 probowl players.

The answer to this question is yes. Matt Milano is the only other elite player on this roster. White, hyde, poyer and von were elite at one time but no longer. Dawkins oliver are really good but not elite. Johnson is elite but im not sure a nickel corner has enough value to be in this conversation. If so count him too.

It is strange because Joe's analysis of the composition of and strategy to build an NFL team seems to be much better and more logical than 95% of actual NFL executives.

Joe, what is wrong with your insight? Everyone has a right to their opinion, just to be annoyed by the contract that was given to Von, and remember he took a definite paycut in 2024. Last year, he was trying his best to be the player he knows he could be. His play this up and coming year will have you and others eating your words!!!

Hey Joe thank you for doing Locked on podcasts. I look forward to watching every day along with the Locked NFL. As unpopular as it is I love the red uniform. Not for every game but would like to see more than 1 game a year. Second and probably one that is blue jersey white pants blue socks. Never liked the white jersey but it’s tolerable with blue pants.

I have not given up on Von! His over the top optimism is biting him in the ass. At his age the injury required a full year plus to even get close. It reflected on the field. I believe you will see, older, but prime Von in 2024.

The talent they had the previous seasons werent enough to get it done in the big games either. The disappointments have been on the D. Im not gonna say the current group isnt good enough until they prove theyre not. Theres plenty of guys that have elite potential and their missing piece was a Josh Allen. I think the Bills are gonna surprise some people.

I guess I'm the outlier. I think Keon will struggle to get targets this year. Shakir, Kincaid, and Cook are studs, all finished the year trending upward, steeply. Curtis Samuel is only 27, blazing fast, and fully healthy. He's been a solid producer despite playing in garbage QB/OC/HC situations. How will he fit in to an elite offense? I see breakout. That leaves Keon to compete with MVS for 5th option, which I see Keon winning out by late season.

Kincaid is going to be GREAT ! My only concern with his is that he needs to protect his body more like a pro. He seems to be taking huge risks to get every inch after a catch. NFL players usually learn that NFL = Not For Long when you play with that kind of reckless intensity. The Bills need him on the field not the training room.
