Rousseau - yes. Brown - if he stays healthy and plays like last year or better than yes. Shakir, Benford, and Bernard are tracking right. Cook to me is the question. Not a 3 down back and too many dropped passes. Really curious to see how Ray Davis looks. If he looks good that may be the tell regarding Cook.

I would draft a wide receiver with one of the picks in the first three rounds for like the next two to three years

That’s not the way beane operates, I agree developing talent is the best way vs cost but every move he made this year says to me we are looking for a big free agent or trade contract next year

@@DeepThinker-gc8nz I Disagree completely, I think Beane has seen how much of an impact bad contracts are and while Beane may not Have operated the way I described in the past, he will start to transition to more young draft talent, possible cheap trades for low risk high reward talent on an affordable contract and mid tier contracts in FA. no trades for major Skills players with top 10 salaries. to me the moves he's made are to maintain salary stability while setting up the future to retain the Bills talent already on the team. We'll see what he does in the coming years though.

He runs his drafts to buy proven talent later, I haven’t seen anything that suggests he has changed his whole strategy. He tried to skip a rebuild this year, I don’t think we are looking to play the long game of developing receivers. There will be a major signing next year.

At the end you said “hopefully the cap keeps going up” which I couldn’t disagree with more. In order for the cap to go up prices have to increase, $500 for Sunday ticket is stupid, and the price to go to the game is quickly elevating above being a family outing into strictly a splurge with friends gig where everyone attending has to pull their weight cost wise. If the cap stays stagnant or goes down it affects all teams not just the bills so the playing field remains even. So my vote is for more affordable football for everyone. Also instead of those massively bloated salaries for the few players it would be nice if the cba designated a portion of the revenue share towards life long vested player health care like 40% owners, 40% players 20% health care or something.

Also worth noting re: Shakir, is WHEN his big moments happened last year. I felt like there were a bunch of times he made the crazy play exactly when we needed it. Especially in the playoffs - wild card td was absolutely the moment that put that game away and his performance in the divisional was great (his td is still a glitch in the matrix to my eyes).. clearly he doesn’t shrink when shit gets heavy

Terrell Bernard played fantastic last season but he wasn't availeble in the most important part (playoffs) because of injuries

I will be shocked if James Cooke is on this team next year. In fact, I think there is a small chance we trade him this year.
