I have a few issues with this review, it being "too bland" is probably on purpose because puyo puyo is a children's game, they've made it easy to progress through on purpose so that children wouldnt have trouble with playing the game or they'd have enough time to learn the mechanics until the final section, which is where more skilled, story and map appreciating players are accomodated. You also complained that ecolo was a twist villain because "of course he had to be", i'm confused on what the problem is since previously you complained that the game is bland? Also, the post game is probably good, as seen with puyo puyo champions' puzzle mode or whatever it was called

The one good thing about this game is that Sega realized: "oh yeah, people outside of Japan don't have an official way to play Puyo Puyo competitively" and released it in the states instead of keeping it Japan exclusive.

Tetris main here, this video helped me understand GTR a lot better. Please teach me the ways of Puyo, or hell, even T spins. The japanese puzzle gamers can be so cruel when they sense weakness.

I'm a pretty good Tetris player (not at the level Jayden is at mind you) who knows jack about Puyo Puyo beyond it's history. So the little detailed explanations going on in the video are highly appreciated.

Correction, that's PROFESSIONAL TvP in a nutshell. Casual TvP is the exact opposite story.

I've always had a hard time with GTR. I know the concept and how it works, but I can't manage colors very well to build them and end up making stairs instead, but stairs make it pretty hard to build a transition depending on what happens. Thanks for the great tutorial!!
