Honda Pioneer 1000 Fan Override
zhlédnutí 4,7KPřed 3 lety
The fan override kit from Hondasxs.com is must have accessory for the Pioneer 1000. This kit will give you the ability to override the factory settings when riding hard in hot weather or at high altitudes. store.hondasxs.com/collections/pioneer-1000/products/cooling-fan-override-for-honda-pioneer-1000-models-on-backorder
Honda Pioneer 1000 Underdash Storage

Added the underdash storage from Honda for some much need storage space. It works great and I define recommend it for anyone with a Pioneer 1000.
Honda Pioneer 1000 Cup Holders

Installed the Honda OEM door cup holders for my rear passengers and put some up front as well.

Another upgrade for Trifecta, this LE bumper looks so much better than the original.
RB3 Door Bushings
zhlédnutí 2,6KPřed 4 lety
Honda in general is a great company and typically produce great products but they let me down on the stock door bushings. They rattle and have too much slack for a machine that is new. After having my fill of the noise I went to RB3 Off-roads website and ordered door bushings for the front and rear doors. Installation is simple and they sure did quiet down my front doors.
PBR Tailgate Brackets

It was finally time to fix my tailgate, why Honda insists on this design is beyond me but these PBR tailgate brackets made it 100% better.
Honda Pioneer 1000-5 lift kit
zhlédnutí 18KPřed 4 lety
After adding the 30 inch tires I decided to lift the Pioneer. I thought about adding a bracket lift but finally decided on adding spacers. You will need two pieces of 2” schedule 40 and two pieces of 3” schedule 40 steel pipe cut to 3/4” or whatever you decide. It firms the ride a bit but I actually think it rides better now.

The Honda Pioneer 1000 cup holders are an afterthought that are laughable at best. This upgrade fixes this issue.
Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Review

This is an overview of what I’ve completed on the build and my thoughts, likes and dislikes of the machine overall. For a more in depth look of this build check out my build thread on Hondasxs.com hondasxs.com/threads/russ989’s-trifecta-build.19763/
Honda Pioneer 1000 Mid Panel
zhlédnutí 10KPřed 4 lety
I installed the Honda mid panel to help cut down on the dust that comes up from the rear of the machine, it works wonders. The install takes roughly 15-20 minutes and I highly recommend it unless you have speakers installed on that bar.
Honda Pioneer 1000-5 Trail Armor
zhlédnutí 1,8KPřed 4 lety
Upgraded the skid on Trifecta, this is the second Trail Armor Skid I’ve had and they are a great investment if you ride in the woods or on the trails. These skids give your machine some much needed protection compared to your factory skid.

Any loss of power?
Take the buckle apart, take the magnet out and carefully place it in the trash.
SO how about a link to fix this?? I had to replace the cable to the rear differential as it had broken right at the adjusting device in that gear box
Hello, Are you interested in testing our products? We would like to invite you to test the UTV Rear Window for your Honda Pioneer 1000
How does it compare to the OEM?
@@russ9897 it can replace 0SR95-HL8-211B
@@russ9897 it can replace 0SR95-HL8-211B
Your switch wires are plugged into what? An aftermarket buss bar? If you install the kit to make the 3 Honda factory 3 amp switches live, could you wire this kit to one of those spots. Replacing the factory switch with the new one?
These are an absolute must have.
The link is broken.
I already have some spare fuel hose, so I will definitely be trying this out! Thanks!
Glad to help
Any issues with door closing properly? Really having to slam it excessively hard
It does seem that you have pull them pretty hard to shut properly. No issues so far though.
Will this work on a 520?
fuel hose wares out rapidly....need a material that can withstand the friction
Honda has to do something about this issue mine has under 400km and same issue I tried adjusting several times. Thought I had it then took it off the jack and nope stuck in turf mode.
Where is the ignition on wire under the hood??? I'm having trouble figuring out how to have my switches back lite... Thank you,
There’s a harness you can buy from Hondasxs.com that ties into your 12v port for key on power. I ran mine to a terminal strip and then landed my backlighting there.
@@russ9897 I was thinking about running a "Daisy chain" from my lighted light bar switch to three other switches I have... Not sure if that will work though??? What do you think???
@@t.j.limbaugh385 yes that would work as well.
Do I need wheel spacers if I am installing the shock spacer?
I would add spacers anytime you lift a rig. If you go up you should go out.
All that heat shrimp and the rocker switch and connector aren't sealed 🙄
I would call that 9 out 10 for fit and finish
Do u get any rubbing on front wheel wells at full lock and compression
Yes, but I didn’t install the steering stops that came with my superatv a-arms.
Mine is the same tried adjusting but still have same problems
On my Honda pioneer I cannot shift 4wd to 2wd. Please give me some advice thanks!
First you need to confirm that it’s not shifting, put the unit on jack stands to make sure. It could be working but not showing up on the display.
Why not just get longer cables so you don't have that big bracket sticking out??
They were readily available and longer cables weren’t on the market yet. The bracket doesn’t matter because the cables are attached to it anyway.
What are the dimensions of the light bar? Is this a 20”?
Shouldn't have to do that on an expensive machine
I added it to help out when the radiator gets dirty. I went 6 days of solid riding this last trip before I washed the radiator out and it helped keep it cool enough until I could find some water.
my 2022 Honda Pioneer 1000 has a hard plastic cover underneath the seat, removed it and the wire is right there in front of you, as in the video. Used a tiny flat head to depress the tab and the plug came out easily. Plugged in the override, zip tied it and done. This video is spot on, thanks so much! took longer to type this than to install the override plug.
On my 2021 P-1000, in 4x4 low, with Diff Lock, under heavy load, it will pop out of Diff Lock, then 1 second later will SLAM back in. Not sure, but pause in motion seemed to indicate same problem in both front and rear Diff Lock. This happened 2x my last outing. I don't think it is a linkage proplem. What alse might it be?
It could be your low going out in the sub-transmission , does it do it in high?
@@russ9897 That is an excellent suggestion and I now think that is the problem. Is that something that could be fixed with an adjustment? I don't know the answer to your question.
@@wilfredlemon4961 any disengagement in low that jumps in and out is typically that range going out in the sub-transmission. Unfortunately you will have to remove it and have it rebuilt.
Have you had any issues with your machine overheating before adding this ? I have a 2021 1000-5le and it’s been overheating a lot lately. I live in south Florida and been running it in sugar sand and some mud but nothing to hard for it to overheat that much . I wish I knew the actual temp on the machine rather than the crappy display symbol they give us with 4 symbols being the hottest then the red temp light turns on . I just ordered this fan override kit hopefully that solves my problem and also ordered the other radiator cap and thermostat with the water wetter to see if that helps. Just wondering if you had any similar issues or any ideas on what it could be thx
I never had any of those issues, I added it as extra insurance when I play in the mud. I’ve heard some guys having the ecu flashed and it taking care of that issue:
5???? Wheres the other rear seats?.... It suppose to seat 5 ppl right????
They are in the bed, it turns into two extra seats.
Very well done video, especially about pressing down on connector tab- thanks!
You’re welcome, I’m just trying to make it easier for the next guy.
Great video. I just bought a 1000 and am considering an aftermarket hardcabs kit but they are pricey.
Yes they are, I’d love to have a set but not for that much coin.
What wheels and tires? Sizes?
System 3 SB4 wheels 6+1 offset. 30x10x14 Super Grip K9s.
how about a link to where you got this please.

You should have said what adjustments you made
I’m installing Harnesses on my Pioneer 1000-5 but I’m leaving original seatbelts on machine this will work for sure thank you for posting this
Just ordered door cup holders for my 2016 Pioneer 1000 EPS.
Where can I get them?
I got mine off EBay.
I was wondering does it still ride the same or is it a little bit rougher
It firms it up a bit but still rides good.
It will be stiffer because lifting in this manner is equivalent to a good six clicks or so on an adj. preload shock. Its good uz you stay within the intended travel of the cv joint, but you give up some droop and suppleness
Does anyone have a video on the front diff adjustment? Mine goes in and the light comes on but doesn't stay in under throttle. Was told theres a nut adjustment under a cover..
Front diff lock i mean.
🏆🏆🏆👍🇺🇲🙏 Thank you for sharing
You have over 50 seconds of intro. Maybe a little less would be nice.
HONDA, Fabriquen la ATV 1000 CC, ya hace falta la 1000
Very helpful, Russ. Thanks for the info.
You’re welcome
does it affect leg room?
Not at all, it appears to but I didn’t notice any difference.
What brand of backup lights are you running and what size?
Agree 100%. $20G for a machine and it comes with crap $3 bushings. Shame on Honda for such an unnecessary shortcut!
My brand new 2020 with 6 miles is doing exactly same thing. I will try this. This machine should be tweaked at factory and owner should not have to fiddle with it. Shame on you Honda.
Can you show pics of how you hide the cables running from the lights along the roof line and down the cage to the underside? Do you protect the cable in conduit? Simply zip tied to roll cage? From an install perspective, that'd be really helpful in seeing how clean it can look. Thanks in advance!
Frank, I simply zip tied the wiring to the top of the cage .
There is zero instruction to this video. What a joke
Just got a 2021 1000 and this looks pretty slick. Assuming it will work with a 2021 I’ll be ordering one of these!
My pioneer 1000 wouldn’t go into turf mode. Tinkered with the linkage like you and it’s working good now. Thanks.
What size is the rims and tires?
14x7 wheels and 30x10x14 tires.
