Our cat reeeeeaaaally loved the hairdryer. She was a bit hard of hearing in her old age, and she liked that the hairdryer was warm. If she noticed anybody in the house was using it, she would wander over and start meowing until whoever had it on would stop and point it at her. She liked best to lay on the floor with one of us and have it pointed at her back or her stomach while she relaxed. I miss her quite a lot, but she had a good run, she was spry and bright-eyed until a very sharp, sudden deterioration on the very last day and she was put to sleep at home after I think about 22 years with our family.

I love the other Caucasian breed, the Ovtchaka. They are definitely one of my favorites ❤❤ also, they were both bred to be livestock guard dogs. Why they are so big. They had to fight off wolves and bears, and sometimes even people.

I have a question about of wire haired dachshunds. How often should they be groomed, how should they be groomed and should shampoo always lather with any dog? (Shampoo doesn’t lather on my dachshund’s coat)

He looks great. The vet is the answer to the nails. My daughter has a small dog that must go to the vet for nail trimming, a small dog’s bite might not be as bad as a large dog’s bite but both hurt and no groomer should ever take the chance.

I have a 13-year-old Blenheim Cavalier. I wash and (slightly) trim her at home. I use Petsilk shampoo and conditioner -- she mats without the conditioner. Mine does indeed have heart disease and syringomyelia, which hit about a year ago), but she has never had other issues. Very expensive meds, but very, very sweet dog. Those eyes made me adopt her. BEWARE puppy mills, though. There are a lot of horrible Cavalier breeders and scams. (My dog's from the National Mill Dog Rescue.) My Cavalier is the ideal weight and is spayed. I regulate her food carefully.
