Big Bushog big problems
A 12820 20Ft bushog with a center gearbox mounting failure. This one has had lots of repairs on it and I don't know if what I did will hold on it. Loads of good stuff. Trepaning on the lathe and heavy iron moving.

Good old 644K had a bad pin day. Common problem on the John Deere series loaders. Loads of hot work carbon arc, gas ax and stick welding.

Well this is not a how to but more of a redneck got to do what you can to fix the mess it should have never been repair. Hope you enjoy it and get something out of it.

millwright welder here, great job i have used this practice 100's of times but with a small change. i use a washer over the broken stud area before any amount of welding, allows easier arc start and protects the first few threads of the hole.
Wondering how tracing process works if the middle beam is taller be 3CM or so. The rafter would be sitting above the upper beam. Even if you trace with the gap, perhaps with the larger tracer block to account for the gap, wouldn’t the birdsmouth cut change as the board sits down after cutting?
Considering an engine drive welder .I have my eye on a couple ,both used. Is there anywhere in Mississippi that repairs them ?
Had a old boom truck for years only used it around yard equipment repair , California wanted it gone it's now in Oregon doing same work
Wonderful job, I really enjoyed your video. Did the owner every say how they think that machine was damaged? I'm guessing they have hit obstacles a number of times, perhaps the same rock, stump, log, over time and the machine eventually busted apart. They are lucky they caught the head coming off before it tore up the PTO drive shafts. Take care and please keep filming.
He told me that it has always shook since it was new but breaking the top was caused from the bolts getting loose. I’ll be honest I don’t know if my repair will even help if there something else wrong. I thought it could be the stump jumper is out of balance but the customer didn’t want to replace it.

It’s an international motor. D155 nuess diesel. They put the same motor in the 345 international tractor

I enjoy these types of videos the most. I'm pretty sure the rest of that machine will collapse and turn to dust before those welds ever break. They may brake the machine again, and probably will, but it wont be in the same place.
Good job on the repairs next time to get an fit use what I call a cad on the base of the gearbox that stands for card board assisted design have fun I enjoy your videos

Its not easy to balance strength costs and weight thats for sure. If the operator is doing stupid stuff then it becomes impossible. lol
