A 12820 20Ft bushog with a center gearbox mounting failure. This one has had lots of repairs on it and I don't know if what I did will hold on it. Loads of good stuff. Trepaning on the lathe and heavy iron moving.
I enjoy these types of videos the most. I'm pretty sure the rest of that machine will collapse and turn to dust before those welds ever break. They may brake the machine again, and probably will, but it wont be in the same place.
I wonder...since the cows don't understand the dangers of eyeballs watching weld arcs, how many of them will have eye pain as a result of their curiosity? Things that make ya go hmmm.
Hello from Washington State! I really enjoy your videos and the different projects that you work on. I like the way you have your truck set up. I will be using some of you ideas on my IH truck. DT 466 engines rock!
Good job on the repairs next time to get an fit use what I call a cad on the base of the gearbox that stands for card board assisted design have fun I enjoy your videos
Wonderful job, I really enjoyed your video. Did the owner every say how they think that machine was damaged? I'm guessing they have hit obstacles a number of times, perhaps the same rock, stump, log, over time and the machine eventually busted apart. They are lucky they caught the head coming off before it tore up the PTO drive shafts. Take care and please keep filming.
He told me that it has always shook since it was new but breaking the top was caused from the bolts getting loose. I’ll be honest I don’t know if my repair will even help if there something else wrong. I thought it could be the stump jumper is out of balance but the customer didn’t want to replace it.
i enjoy the content. down to earth and no 5 minutes of sponsoring some piece of crap made in china. i am happy to see that you are gaining subscribers. good job.
Back in the 70s my folks bought a Lincoln crackle box, The only thing I knew about welding I read in books, "My welds looked like a chicken dumped on it but it held. I don't remember what I was welding but I needed to fill a gap so I grabbed a second rod and what do you know it worked. Imagine my surprise once I got internet to find out I wasn't the one to discover this technic but it had a name
MM77 Approved 👍🏼👍🏼………………………………….make a silk purse out of a sows ear……………or making chicken salad out of chicken sh………..ummmm……..CRAP ! I think you did good for what you had to work with.
You worked to hard and over thinker it. I just watched again. Maybe, I meant underthinked. My bad. I'd liked to see more internal support. Depending on what the owner pulls it through?

“Texas Tig”? That’s what I heard it called.
Great video!
You’d think that something that big and expensive would have some larger pieces of steel to spread the stress around a bit.
Bless Nice video. Good repair. Thanks 🙏
When I saw the plate on the drill press, first thing I thought of was, he is not going to strat with that big bit is he? 😄
I've only had to use rod as filler a couple of times, not something I wanted to do but it worked so thiers that
Nice vid. Texas Tig for the win. :)
Awesome keep the videos comming

awesome. for marking the bolt holes, we're they special punches? to ensure center? ps that drill press is awesome
Yes there are transfer punches.
I’m a welder been one for 27 yrs now. I have to break up a rod like u did to fill in gaps. They said they call that Texas tig.
Its not easy to balance strength costs and weight thats for sure. If the operator is doing stupid stuff then it becomes impossible. lol
👍🏻🍻
You watching Texas tig?
👌🏼👌🏼🤘🏼
What part of Mississippi are you from. I’m from yazoo county.
Noxubee county right next to the Alabama state line.
Dude, great repair video! Do you have a business email?
Thank you yes I do. ethanewing1586@gmail.com

Really? What did I over think?
