Usually the south face is done as a rock climb but large amounts of recent snow covered most of the route in snow and ice making the ascent feel more like a winters climb. The team climbed the route in July.

Thank you so much for sharing I'm planning to go next mont there (just up to the base of Fitz Roy, and 2021 will go and climb it) and have a couple questions that would appreciate if you can share the info: 1. Do you have any Gear list that of things that you used? (how many quick draws, cams, stoppers, how many ropes, anything else) 2. How much time did you required for the whole activity? (from where you started?, did you camp on the glacial? ) 3.
