I don’t believe in healing. In times past God worked in the outer man, blessing nations and individuals in hope of drawing the world to themselves. But that was before the Holy Spirit was given full time to believers. Now, God is working through the inner man. Our testimony is not “look, world, how God is blessing my outer man with health and prosperity.” Our testimony is the “peace that passes understanding” as we cope with every travail that plagues this fallen world.

"Kundalini" is the latest pretence to having insight. Any deviation from Cessationist belief or practice is said to be "Kundalini" even if those who are involved deny having those views. The religious ancestors of the Cessationists were the heresy-hunters of old. It is only natural that these men should be known for their heresy hunting.

So, relatively speaking, even if God were to do a miracle no more than once per a thousand years it still can be seen to be an abundant number of miracles, in light of the totality of HISTORY but let's look at it from God's perspective. If no more than one person is healed per 500 years then, over all, He could, relatively speaking, be seen to be doing HARDLY ANY MIRACLES AT ALL. Why would God be so reluctant to exert His power? Why is He so intent on conserving it (as if He had so little) or is the deficit of miracles due to His having so little mercy for humanity? 1 Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor His ear too dull to hear. 2 But your iniquities have built barriers between you and your God, (Isaiah 39:1-2)

This fellow is lying about Augustine's view of Continuationism. I have read it for myself in the "City of God" and in "Retractions" own writings those who deny are either uneducated so or else an outright liar.

What is repugnant is their smug assurance about what God will and will not do. It seems that in their conceptualization of Christ all prayers are NO and NO INDEED. Current miracles are seen as the product of ignorance or deception. I have heard this clip of Kuhlman before and heard the argument that her style of speaking makes her "creepy" (and therefore demonic). Does "discernment" amount to no more than than perception of speaking STYLE?

This is so good. I appreciate how well done and through. I have only one push back that he might agree with. We don’t know they were speaking known human languages at Pentecost, only that they HEARD human language. It really wouldn’t be a miracle or sign or anything, for them to be speaking known languages. Since it was a multi-language culture with people from various places, obviously speaking other languages wasn’t a big deal. It would not be impressive to claim…”I don’t know your language but I am speaking it miraculously but trust me, I don’t really know it.” No. The real miracle is that they were speaking tongues (again, not clear what tongue or language was actually spoken… and so, it is not necessarily human language.) The miracle was in the hearing and understanding. They each HEARD them… in their own language at that same time. That is the miraculous. They weren’t speaking human languages and then repeating themselves over and over to cover different languages of all those listening. What is clear is that they were speaking some unique language other than their own (human or not not human… though I would submit it wasn’t human since that would add to the point) and then, as they were speaking this strange sounding language which, might get them accused of being drunk since it wasn’t human, there was… a miraculous interpretation and understanding of many languages at the same time. So even at Pentecost, some heard them and thought they were drunk and so speaking an unknown language might have contributed to that impression. Pentecost was a special event but the miracle wasn’t the speaking in tongues, it was the hearing and understanding in their own languages. This is what seems to be what scripture taken together is saying. Other than this, everything else has been so helpful and good!

I belive this is a very important topic.I saw the movie and honestly I was already prepared to see manipulaton but it still surprised and completely outraged me how the creators blatantly pushed lies and false ideas through the film. It was unreal to watch how these intelligent people deliberately create a false narrative and even fake church history to manipulate the viewer. Unfortunately American Gospel series also uses this tactics but more subtle. But even if they were right these technics they use (manipulation, false narratiive, etc..) to discredit charimsatics or any movement is not right by any standard not to mention the Bible. Thanks so much to call them out, show the truth and push back this false narrative. God bless you!

Cessationist view reminds me of the words of Jesus in John 5:39-40: "‭John 5:39-40 ESV‬ [39] "You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me, [40] yet you refuse to come to me that you may have life."

The function of modern day prophecies is to current, specific situations. For instance, the Bible can tell us how to live, but it's not going to tell me to move to a certain place, go into a particular ministry, who to marry, etc. I need the current, present, leading of the Holy Spirit for that. Also, not everything prophets said became Scripture even in New Testament times. Philip had daughters who prophecied, but what they prophecied isn't recorded. The cessationist argument that every utterance of the Holy Spirit is supposed to be recorded as Scripture doesn't even make sense.

I listened to the first video of the series and now I am on the second one and I am loving every bit of it! You addressing those who thought you were being disrespectful or contentious or mean in the things you said concerning secessionism, I absolutely love and agree 100% with what you said concerning the subject! My husband was much in the same way concerning this very subject because of the damage that it is done to the lives of believers. much like the Pharisees were when Jesus said they make their converts the twofold child of hell… or like Matthew 23:13 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of heaven from people; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in. “ This is one of the best discussion series on the subject I have heard so far. Wow. I was doing my own commentary along with you! This has been the best series on debunking cessationism ever. Thank you for taking the time to compile this well executed series. I have so many thoughts but I commend your self control while listening/commenting to the documentary. Much of it (which is putting it mildly) made my blood boil. Blessings to you! I’m with you on the danger of this belief. Satan doesn’t deceive the body with the most outrageous heresies, although it does happen. He uses well dressed respectable voices who have vast biblical knowledge to shroud the powerful work of the Holy Spirit. That is deadly and should alarm us all.

The saddest part about cessationalism is that they're simply rejecting the way that God has determined to operate. God has chosen to operate in this fallen world, through redeemed individuals, empowered by His Holy Spirit, and they are saying... "No." And they are leading Others to reject God's way.

Daniel this teaching is a 5 Star Bible teaching. I was able to turn this episode off at the end and then you mentioned how you felt after discussing this stuff and how it made you feel. I concur with that feeling. This movie is a compilation of false teachers espousing their heresies. Its gross. Slimy as you say. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this. Its greatly appreciated and I now have a comprehensive presentation to refute the cessationism heresy to share when I'm pushing back on it with misled brothers and sisters.

What's a greater charge and more problematic? Someone who claims to be a prophet but may get a prophecy wrong? Or someone that entirely guts the Scripture and speaks on behalf of God and says not only is that particular prophecy wrong, but the Spirit no longer apportions the gift of miracles, healings, discerning of spirits, wisdom, and knowledge to the church anymore (1 Cor. 12:3-8)? While a prophet should not speak presumptuously, and be sure to hear from the Lord before speaking on His behalf, should not cessationists do the same before making claims of absolutism in saying the Spirit no longer operates as Scripture dictates? Wouldn't the cessationist be more dangerous than the prophet who may get a prophecy wrong?

Did you guys notice the preacher was not surprised? This isn't the first time he is seeing such. GOD uses the humble qhom he knows will not try to take his glory. As we can see, there is any mention of the preachers name except the name of JESUS.

it was a nice surprise to me that God , through the Holy Spirit, can be felt .. firstly as tingles but then , as I matured, the constant presence in my belly, the weightiness of God, the love of the Father that made me happy again after 25 years of sadness . He has risen in my soul and The Word become flesh to me .. not just words in a book.

I would even go so far to ask what they define as God giving men the ability to work miracles. Because Jesus said during the days of Elijah and Elisha were there not many widows, and again many lepers....but only one widow was provided for, and only one leper was healed.

I have found that cessationist comments and arguments aren't just unbiblical but also very juvenile. Im becoming more convinced that they don't read their bibles
