After 8+ years on the road, here are my thoughts (not that anyone asked). I’m sick to death of a lot these riders. The ones that think they’re better than you or think they know all about you. The obviously racist ones. The wanna be thugs and gangsters (& the real ones too). The ones who look down their noses on you. The ones who think it’s okay to touch you whenever they want to. The ones who think they can do whatever they want inside your car. The ones who have such an extremely overblown sense of entitlement. The pot heads and power drinkers. The whiners and complainers and the assholes who give 1 star reviews just to fuck with you. I try not to generalize either, but these days it seems to me to be a safe bet that at least 80% or more of all ride share riders are douchebags to some degree. And I am one driver who has reached his breaking point. No more automatic 5 star ratings from me. You have to earn that now. I start every rider with a 3 star rating by default and their behavior on the ride can move that rating up or down. Piss me off and it’s an automatic 1 star with a report sent to Uber. And one final thought. Why is everyone so damn nosy these days? I’m sick to death of feeling like I’m being interrogated by these damn riders. Where were you born? Planet Earth motherfucker! How much do you make? Enough to hire a hitman to K*LL you! Tell me everything about you from your birth until now. Fuck you, are you writing a book?! God bless the rider who gets in with a smile and a nice greeting, responds politely when I verify the destination, and then either has a polite and unobtrusive conversation with me or sits quietly for the ride. You know, normal, civilized, well adjusted people. Seriously, why should we have to put up with everyone else’s bull shit? I am not your damn Shrink, babysitter, parole officer, drug dealer, and I’m damn sure not your friend. I’m the guy who showed up to move you from point A to point B, nothing else. So be on time, get in, sit down, stfu, and don’t act like an animal inside my car. But that’s too hard for 80% or more of these assclowns to do.

I've always felt like getting in the front seat of a hired car was rude, unless you were asked to sit up there. . .but I grew up in a different time. I also wouldn't ever ask someone to stop listening to their music in their own car either but you know how people are.....

Another great short story, you had me laughing as you contemplate the irony of to have or not have a moral standing in the thick of the situation at hand. Here's a guy who never needed to tell you he was going to cheat on his wife, but was treating you like a buddy who might wish he was in his place,lol. I also have to say the guy was a Putz, and when he took that spill, karma was letting him know exactly that. Thanks for the giggles Eddie, looking forward to the next vignette.👍❤️
