Im glad that you do you, Ed. I don't much give a shit if you put up vids about crazy ubers or crazy cops or just the colorful people you encounter...always entertaining. You seem like a good person. Carry on brother.
No matter the subject, it's *your* commentary that makes it interesting, so keep bringing those interesting stories. I'm not just here for Uber stuff. How limited would that be? 😏
Cops don't write the laws, obviously, for a reason. They're just working class blue collar grunts like most of us. But, they do enforce the laws and carry weapons to enforce them. That chief was an old-school 80s cop, where even if he did pull up with a buzz or some white powder on his nose back then, then it was probably overlooked, and no one honestly cared. Back in the days when the smoking section at Danny's was divided by a sign and nothing else. Back when body/car cams or cell phones didn't exist, and people got through their issues by throwing a punch or roughing someone up without getting locked up.
The point is, it's a much different age, and what people did in those days is still going on, but now it is surfacing more because of modern tech.
I believe that cops do things that we can't more often than not when at work on the clock and off and with coworkers or people not recording them to witness. But only cameras bring them to justice these days. Back in the 80s, I highly doubt most citizens would stand trial to testify against a corrupt cop, and we know other cops really aren't going to tell on their brothers and sisters in uniform.
But we do live in a pretty well-balanced civilized country that works for the most part when compared to many other countries out there in the world.😮

I hadn't seen this drunk chief video before. Very interesting stuff. Also, I figure it's your channel and you can make whatever content you want. Yah some content will be liked more than others but you are Driver Eddie. Anything to do with the driving, the road, or road rules or laws, makes sense.

This video gave me such a rush because I love seeing people who are using social authority, get checked when they realize they do not have physical authority. One thing I will say though Edddie, the guy was simply giving the chief his property back and telling him to go away. He never said drive and that is the same as giving someone in your house a knife to chop vegetables and saying you are telling them to k themselves so I dont believe you have a point there, but I am just nit picking. If he didnt give him his keys then its boarder line theft because drunk people are allowed to own keys.
A drunk cop isn't a cop anymore in my eyes. Family of cops & unfortunately good & bad.

I get what you’re saying, but I’m pretty sure these “random” nighttime stops you’re talking about are for the very reason you brought up in that cops need to take more preventative action. They’re trying to intervene these DUIs before something bad happens. Great video and points all around! Keep up the quality work.

This whole video is all kinds of crazy. Definitely highlights the fragile and sometimes asinine structure of hierarchy many of us find ourselves in. That for whatever reason, often, don't concentrate on following the rights instead of wrongs but on maintaining said hierarchy. Seems like a gluttony of power, a reason I don't think I could ever be in the military or police.

A cop shooting at someone for a acorn jumpscare and a wemon getting shot for having to break into her friend house to get in after a party while she was legally there. I mean yes she had a gun but it was 2 am in the morning with people banging on the door. Normally cops say HEY ITS THE POLICE DROP THE GUN before shooting at people to make sure they understand its the police so mistakes like this dont happen.

pivot eddie, and fck em bro. ur a content creator and id watch the car shit all day or i'll watch u talk about cops beatin each others ass. its like u said man, ur a great writer, and you have your own vibe so it doesnt matter what you do because your character is eddie doyle and not uber driver. make videos of u going to Sixers games and interacting with people or going into the philly cheese steak shops and interacting with the employees and other customers. Ill be honest I dont like the Driver Eddie change- i liked just plain Eddie Doyle doing his thing and being a guy from philly but thats the only criticism i have.
