I've gotta 2000 Dodge Dakota that I just inherited a year ago after my father passed and it's the S. L t with c five point nine lliter v8. I've recently had to put a radiator in it due plastic parts not lasting forever in a coolant system. However, you would be lots of money ahead. Calling a reputable shop and having them put in a jasper rebuilt motor. That is what i'm going to do when the time comes for major engine overhaul on mine.

It’s not original though. It has a 90-91 front end with a 92-94 tail end. Someone sold a garage kept 1991 Mitsubishi eclipse. One owner with 20,000 on eBay for $3,000 about a year ago.

EXCELLENT job man. This brings back a FLOOD of memories lol. I had a 2g to start out with just bolts, 16g, and a Hallman MBC. Also had 1g CAS which let it pick up significant power. fwd peg leg burnout to a 13.1@112 mph with no tuning system and a 1g side mount IC lol. So wish I would've started with an awd 1g! Ended up in the second Evo to be sold in the state of Idaho. Crashed it unfortunately and got a 2005 Evo which I still have. Thanks for making and posting this! Brought back warm memories.

I’m at the point to where I have to drill out the stud because the stripped lug nut bolt is stuck and spinning on the wheel. Let’s see how this goes

6/15/24 I purchased a Black Cherry 1990 Eagle Talon base mode in 1990, 5 speed, standard engine to replace my Pontiac Sunbird car. My Talon is now 34 years old with only 18,500 miles , in 2023 I had to replace the fuel tanks fuel pump to get it to start, this year 2024 I just replaced all 4 disc breaks and pads and a tuneup, oil change, the rear truck lid supports. But due to hot and cold weather I need to fix the headliner due to sagging. Still the 1990 Talon is in very good shape with no rust and is now my daily Summer car driver. The base 1990 Talon model does not have air conditioning , no electric windows, no fog lights, no rear window wiper, lower body is same color as up body with a black top. In 1990 the Talon came in 3 versions with the top version had AWD and turbo.

Smart move using died fluids

So got an update the tool is a must have.. I ended up pre and post foot pumping my brakes in-between using the machine. Also replaced the brake calipers pads and brake lines.. also ON THE ROAD YOUR FOOT WILL PUSH THE PEDAL TO STOP.. so doing this just pumping it and then walking over to the machine.. was a great vacuum for my pt cruiser with split ceramic pads. Drilled slotted rotors built transmission shift kits and a limited slip differential. Please use a pan for brake fluid also..if your pads wear out uneven get a new caliper off Amazon or your trusted parts store

I just finished up a Mazda 323 GTX tank. Set for 12 years with a quarter tank in it, heavily rusted and thick varnish. All I did was drain, remove and fill with 4 gallons white vinegar and tap water. Capped all the hose & sender openings and rotated the tank once a day. It sat full of vinegar for 9 days but when drained was bare metal clean. Rinsed with baking soda & water, dried and WD40 sprayed. Total cost was $43.

Did you install that on the drivers side

5/12/24 Nice to see another Eagle Talon back on the road. It's May 2024 and time to get mine out for Summer driving. I purchased mine new in 1990 an Eagle Talon 1990 black cherry base model 5 speed that is now 34 years old and have put only 18,750 miles on it so far, its has been pretty much a garage queen, still in great shape, runs well, pretty much everything is original except for having to replace the Eagle Gt Tires that came with it. The Eagle Talon came in 3 model levels, I purchased the base model so the features are, it has roll up windows, no air conditioning, no fog lights, no rear window wiper, no lower body molding is different with it being the same black cherry color. Enjoy your Talon as stated very few have survived and it rare to see one in 2024, I glad I have kept mine original like from the factory and is still in great shape. 6/9/24 recent update after 34 years I just had to have all 4 disc brakes & pads replaced, a tune up, trunk support rods replaced, and most recent from the hot and cold environment I now need to get my headliner redone to the fabric separation from the dried glue foam, even in storage things will age that will need to be looked at or replaced.

I am finishing up a 91 GSX with a stage 1-2 Team Rip drive train and 4 bolt rear-end. Looking for clear parking and signal lights from front like you have, any ideas???

Shop wanted 200$ to bleed my pt cruiser brakes so i ordered this machine and waited an extra day from amazon. Money well saved

5/8/24 Catching up on my Eagle Talon Reviews, I purchase a 1990 Base Eagle Talon Black Cherry color new and still own it to this day. I love the hump in the hood and the 5 speed. Mine has been pretty much and in /out garage queen since I only have 18,750 miles on it, the Talon is now my summer driver so I can put some miles on it. Most of the car is original including the Eagle rims that i see on the 1992 blue your selling is after markets. The only main issues i had is a radio replacement that I replaced from Ebay plus the frame around it to match. I did have to replace a fuel tank pump and of course the Eagle GT Tires, battery, but besides that it has what came with it. Like you said after 25+ years part could be an issue, but I did notice that yours with all new parts looks enhanced from how it came from the factory.

Anyone else notice it has a 1G 1990-1991 flip headlights/front end with a 2G 1992-1994 rear end/tail lights. I did as i had a 91 and a 92 talon way back when

is the1990 eagle talon tsi turbo 2.0 an interference engine? I just bought one with a broke timing belt. Don't know much about these little cars and need all the info I can get.

I've used a little heat on the corner of the dash to help it mold back to shape, nice job!

All my tire service are rotated and balanced at tire seller discount tire a national chain. They are responsible for cross threading my stripped out wheel stud.

I have a question, do you think i could freeze the lug nut with upside down computer duster and split the brittle cold nut with a chisel? If you aren’t sure I am gonna try it and let you know.

What were the steps to paint your cam gears? Like cleaning, primer, paint, etc? And also what kind of black paint did you use? VHT?
