Tips on changing a person's voice with Voice Changer
PowerDirector 365 allows you to change the voice of someone to sound slightly different, or mimic another person. There a host of preset voices you can choose from to make this adjustment. This may not have a lot of practical applications at the present, but it can be something you can experiment with when you are thinking creatively.

    For an ordinary human, I wouldn't have any use for this tool, but if I had a character(like a friend of mine's mascot, Charlie T. Bird), I would effect a pitch shift on my own voice while affecting a fake Irish accent. I'd do this using an external programme, Magix(formerly Sony) Sound Forge.

  • @mark_barrentine

    Great timing as I was just using the "Speech Enhancement" (SE) tool. Sadly it uses the same method for replacement as SE whereby it replaces the clip's audio track with the WAV file produced from "APPLY" (of course this replacement only occurs within 365 and not to the original clip) . If I want to undo I could do Ctrl-Z, but if later I want to restore back to the original soundtrack I would have to bring the original clip back in on a different track and replace the SE soundtrack with the original. Is there a better way to undo and get back to the original soundtrack after several edits or reopening the project? The other VERY annoying part is the naming convention used for the generated WAV file. Rather than using the clip's filename as a prefix it just names these WAV files as "AudioDenoise.wav" with subsequent files adding "(1)", "(2)", etc. So you have no idea as to what clip these belong to. Renaming and moving these WAV files to the original clip's folder is doable, but a PITA. For the aforementioned project that's exactly what I did do after the final render, renamed the WAV file to the clip name it was associated with (AudioDenoise(3).wav > 20240730-A-C0002.wav), moved the WAV file to the original clip's folder, reopened the project and then used "Browse" to replace the location/filename used in the project. It helps to go and make a rename table to keep things straight - AudioDenoise(2).wav > 20240730-A-C0001.wav AudioDenoise(3).wav > 20240730-A-C0002.wav AudioDenoise(4).wav > 20240730-A-C0005.wav

    • @SharperTurtle
      @SharperTurtle Před 4 dny

      I like the logic of how you structure your project with variations on the naming conventions according to the base audio clip. That makes sense to me. Unfortunately, I believe the focus so far is in the novelty of offering different voices rather than looking for ways to make the results easy to use and manipulate. --Jim

I'm trying to figure out how to use pan to transition from a straight ahead view to a right hand view and a straight ahead view to a left hand view to achieve transitions of three videos I have captured while driving a car down a scenic roadway. CyberLink PowerDirector365 does not have s simple pan to the right or pan to the left transition.

    • @SharperTurtle
      @SharperTurtle Před 8 dny

      You can pan from the left to the right of one video and then switch to another video, but it will not have the same look as if you were turning your head from forward to right or swiveling your camera in the same direction. The perspective where the two videos meet will be different and cannot be made to look like a normal transition in post production. --Jim

The only similar transition in CL PD365 I can find is a vertical transition. I'm going to e-mail CL and request they generate a simple slide to the right and slide to the left transitions. • @SharperTurtle
      @SharperTurtle Před 11 dny

      That is quite a challenge. Since both normal noise and music are frequencies on the audio spectrum, I don't know how to find a way to remove one without removing the other. If they were at different places in the KHz spectrum they could be isolated. But since they share the same range in many cases, I can't see how they could be separated. Our brain identifies them as unique, but I don't know how software could do that. You could try using the vocal removal tool in the Audio Editor. But that would not remove the melody. Or you could experiment with the equalizer using the same tool. --Jim

    I’ve been doing this on a regular basis with my 4K 30p drone videos using Lightroom. Results are in JPG and of course only at 3840x2160. Imagine the frame captures from 6K and 8K videos😄👍

    Thanks for the great video. Can you tell how to maximise the image resolution during export?

      Once you have the image as a graphic you can adjust the size, depending on the software you are using with it. But if you enlarge it you may encounter some grainy issues.

    One place that I've found snapshots of frames particularly useful, is at the ends or beginnings of clips. If I need to transition a clip in or out, and the material just isn't there, sometimes a snapshot will work.

    Good to know about that choice in the export window. Hadn't noticed that.

      You ask a good question. I hope some of these tutorials help you get grounded in PowerDirector. Unfortunately, I don't know the marketing strategy Cyberlink uses between the phone apps and the computer versions. My guess is that you could find a clear answer by going to the online Cyberlink Forum. The moderator of that forum is employed by Cyberlink and may know the answer to your question. --Jim

    sou, you just use a mask as small as you want it but is not a line following a path like in after effects and its the same or similar result

      That's another way to describe this technique. It's not that elegant, but it can work. --Jim
