You can take a single frame or a large group of frames from you project and export them as digital images for uses elsewhere. We show you several methods of doing this in this tutorial.
One place that I've found snapshots of frames particularly useful, is at the ends or beginnings of clips. If I need to transition a clip in or out, and the material just isn't there, sometimes a snapshot will work.
Once you have the image as a graphic you can adjust the size, depending on the software you are using with it. But if you enlarge it you may encounter some grainy issues.
Great video! For clarity, it seems that ctrl-P does the same thing as clicking the camera (snapshot) icon in the preview panel. Is that correct? Thanks!
I learn something every time with your videos, Jim! Exporting a sequence of images....who knew?
Glad I touched on something you had not already discovered, Don! --Jim
Been grabbing single frames for some time. Love the additional options! Thanks, Jim!
You are welcome. Glad to show you a new twist. --Jim
Good to know about that choice in the export window. Hadn't noticed that.
There are lots of small things that almost everyone overlooks. Glad to point this out for you. --Jim
Thanks.... I will definitely find use for this.
That's great. Glad you see potential here! --Jim

Great idea. A single frame can have all kinds of uses. --Jim
Thanks for the great video. Can you tell how to maximise the image resolution during export?
