So is it just plugged via USB or paired via Bluetooth as well? The USB connection actually only charges the phone, you must connect the phone to the car via Bluetooth. Also short press of voice button only activate the car's default voice function, to enable Siri you need to long press it.

Depends on what you're looking for. To me the 2.2 JTS engine sound is rather boring compare to previous Alfa engines but it is far more reliable and not bad in performance. the 159 is just way too heavy so if you want some ‘punch’ with 159 2.2 JTS might not be the best suit. The power gain from remap on 2.2 will be quite minimal (guess around 10~20 hp max in general) If you’re looking for ‘ok’ performance with little more push to it, go for it. Otherwise you better look at 3.2 JTS it’s far more pleasing (but costly) engine to drive.

Yeah the 2.2 is a lost cause I'm afraid, mainly because it's already tuned to beyond original design by the alfa head and then it's trying to pull a 1500kg car along. Which is a shame really because the suspension and steering are fantastic, it excels on long sweeping country roads, racetracks not so much. The gearing makes it quick enough around town but if you want to track it the 1750 is the way to go.

Did you try the 3.2? I did not but I can't imagine that it is that much faster than the 2.2 you could feel a significant difference. It has longer gearing, the 4wd needs extra power to be accelerated and it is way heavier, so probably you wouldn't feel that much difference. The only way imho would be whether upgrading the 3.2 with a supercharger oder tune up the 1.8 tbi with e.g. 4c turbo and remap

@@darkoriginpictures I've remapped my 2.2 JTS, performance exhaust and performance induction system. Shes at 220bhp and runs very well indeed. I would say shes on a par with the 1750 tbi but faster than the 3.2 JTS

@@rogerhalstead2595 yeah I ported and polished the head while it was off, up 25% on the flow test, exhaust is just resonators, I was looking at remapping but other projects took priority. It does have some poke but I reckon if I actually timed the performance it'd be minimal, there's just too much car for the four cylinder torque. Still can't bring myself to buy a diesel though 😒

The Getz is well known for its agility and the car is fitted with after market parts & weight tuned plus had rs3 summer sport tire while my car was on budget comfort tire and its a bloody heavy car for its size. And the track layout is quite balanced so “hp” doesnt do much on this track

Min Park would you recommend selespeed gearbox? is it worth to consider? how it is in city driving? i ,ve heard that the one used in 159 is much better than 147/156 generation. do you think it's faster than maniak?

I've been driving 147 156 159 all with Selespeed. I only chose selespeed because I have share the car, otherwise I'd go manual. but I've seen improvements and I can say it's much more reliable than the previous versions. The gear shift speed is about the same as human speed (the fast one)

+nev ped I've only installed it recently and haven't tested it properly but it doesn't seems to crash much. The previous one, called Hondalink Premium AUS was crashing pretty much 99.9% time so that was absolute waste of money and that's why Honda decided to move onto some third party app after hearing so much complaint. and it was even on subscription I need to renew every 2 years or something. They fixed the broken navigation app after over 2 years so it must be good !

+John pacatang You need - Apple's HDMI Adapter (so it connets to an iPhone and other end has USB & HDMI) - normal HDMI cable (it's better be similar length to the iPhone USB cable so easy to organise) - USB cable for iPhone (for charging) The USB port on the Apple HDMI Adapter for iPhone is only for charging so you can plug it to ither vehicle's usb port or cigarette jack charger.

+John pacatang To be honest, if these are too big investment for the navigation (plus App purchase price) don't even bother it. The navigation app is absolutely rubbish as of today and it crashes all the time so I gave up using it. I'm just using Apple's standard map for navigation at the moment.
