Hi, I driving 2015 Honda City. I paid for the Navigation app in 2015. Since early this year my navigation app do not have a valid map. I tried to download a new map. There is an error massege" Seaching for map data failed. Unable to connect to the internet. Please try again". I have tried so many time but still unable to download a map. What should i do?
Can you please tell me where to get the navigation app and if it works with my honda city 2016? I live in bahrain btw if that matters for the app to work, hopefully it doesn't.
sheng wen chew you must have the HDMI adapter from Apple (they sell at Honda dealership but it was more expensive in my case) so there are one HDMI port and one USB port to be plugged in. As long as the HDMI cable is connected everything should work. The usb port on the adapter is just for supplying power so it can be connected to either USB port on your car or cigarette lighter socket charger
Same car I have I can’t connect with I phone 13 pro max I used usb to lighting cable . And press voice search on my steering control . But it’s doesn’t work . Can you pls explain it again . Or I shud change the cable which is HDMI ? Thank you
So is it just plugged via USB or paired via Bluetooth as well? The USB connection actually only charges the phone, you must connect the phone to the car via Bluetooth. Also short press of voice button only activate the car's default voice function, to enable Siri you need to long press it.

CarPlay requires hardware integration which means only vehicles with selected hardware will support. Officially Honda confirmed that 2016 Accord will be the one very first to support it.
Basically most current smart phones with bluetooth will work in terms of the pairing. But the navigation launcher I'm not sure. Officially they say it supports from iPhone 5 (Not sure about android) but some say works with iPhone 4S, not confirmed though
+nev ped I've only installed it recently and haven't tested it properly but it doesn't seems to crash much. The previous one, called Hondalink Premium AUS was crashing pretty much 99.9% time so that was absolute waste of money and that's why Honda decided to move onto some third party app after hearing so much complaint. and it was even on subscription I need to renew every 2 years or something. They fixed the broken navigation app after over 2 years so it must be good !

+John pacatang To be honest, if these are too big investment for the navigation (plus App purchase price) don't even bother it. The navigation app is absolutely rubbish as of today and it crashes all the time so I gave up using it. I'm just using Apple's standard map for navigation at the moment.

to be honest the app crashes all the time so I'm not really using it... but I'm sure it has voice guide too ? (I could be wrong) As of today, the app is complete rubbish and waste of money (I'm only referring to Australian and iphone versions as it might perform well in other countries or Android phones) but I pretty much wasted $100 for nothing. (adapter was like $40 and app was $59 from my memory??) Please improve usuability of it Honda !!!

One question to ask, do u connect your iPhone with just Lightning Usb cable or with the Lightning to hdmi cable ?
