The difference between a plumcot and a pluot is that with the plumcot the seed parent is the plum and the pollen parent is the apricot. With a pluot the seed parent is an apricot and the pollen parent is a plum.

I just found you because I was given some plumcots today and hadn't heard of them before. You are the first one who popped up when I chocked CZcams. Your channel looks very interesting So, my plumcots are purple on the outside with slight fuzz all over. The flesh is more orangey, i guess colors depend on type of plum used. Softer texture and tasted like a plum. The pit was smaller than a plum and fairly easy to remove, sort of unshelled almond size and shape. Just wanted to share my experience with my plumcots. Why would you cover the piano like that? You need to leave it open so air can circulate or you’re going to end up with a lot of issues. Pianos need to breathe-like people. Only time you should cover it like that is if you leave for a month

Great! My teacher (6 generations of teachers) ago was Beethoven. Both he and Schubert were taught by Salieri. I never liked this first one much - I am currently learning the fourth one. So it's very interesting to hear your talk. thanks. By the way, for me the most obvious 'story' in a Schubert is the quartet no. 14 slow movement. Also the quintet.

You should get a business card from those movers. They handled it efficiently and correctly! At some point you will need them again- good piano movers are difficult to find!

Finding nice piano technician is much more difficult than finding nice Steinway grand

What is the history of that piano? It seems to need a LOT of major work for it's age and makes me wonder if it will hold up for you. Also why didn't the shop already do some of these adjustments. It seems they were trying to sell the piano "as is" hoping the new owner would accept it. I'm glad you found your instrument, but it was quite and effort. Is this a Steinway authorized dealer?

This is kind of intimidating actually for people like me who wants a grand piano but not really that good at piano yet. Was the piano "ready" per Lindeblad when you first visited, even with the voicing and string buzzing issues?
