Trackday on the track of Zandvoort in The Netherlands. The bike is a Honda CBR 600 F4. The date was 05-08-2013. The day went well, until the rider (a friend) in front of me crashed his Yamaha R6. Luckily he was fine. After the crash I did a 2:05, which is close to my PR. Next time I'll try to improve!

Coming from a Suzuki SV650s, this was my first trackday on the Honda CBR600F4. The video is the fastest lap of the day, a 2:05:952. Although it is the fastest laptime, it is far from perfect. I missed the apex a couple of times and could not find the right gear when approaching the first chicane. But that's a good thing! It means I can go quicker next time out...

    11 yrs old footage found me. You can hear the throttle open at 1:57 while still leaned over. That is the real reason the rear tire lost grip.

    Happend to me two days ago on my R1 5JJ. I landed on my back! No broken bones but pain everywhere, chest in particular. Bike's handlebar bent, fairings and Akra exhaust severely scratch. A mess.

    Both frustrating and satisfying at the same , you can round up the bigger bike in the braking zones and corners and then get blown off on the straights. Always liked SV's

    Why are so many saying to close the throttle when this happens , all the safety sources I read talk about always keeping throttle applied around a corner to maintain traction. Not hitting it hard, but not completely letting off of it, more like feathering it, just a little something.

    Ik ben een beginneling met een motor vol elektronica. 8 van de 10 keer dat ik uit een bocht kom, flashen de led lichten op mijn dashbord, de tractiecontrole kwam in werking. Die TC staat meestal op max. Ik had gedacht om die wat veel minder te zetten, maar na het bekijken van uw vdo, misschien TC toch op max. laten?

    To surpass the rider you cut the curve, realized that you had the wrong trajectory and tried to increase the throttle before the apex to compensate, but it was too much for the rear

      Why was it the wrong trajectory can you explain. I believe the ideal was to go to outside of the turn which he couldn't.

    Nette rondetijden! In je video op de sv650 rij je een rondetijd van om en nabij de 2:10. Is dat het maximale wat je uit de sv650 kunt halen? Ik twijfel over een sv650s als circuitmotor maar ben bang dat het vermogen wat tekort schiet

    Summary: bike loses traction in corner and suddenly gains it again and the bike tips over( highsiding) or the bike loses traction slides, and never gains the traction back (low siding) correct me if I’m wrong

    Ha ha the fire blade has to work really hard to pass sv but sv gets him every time on bends so just proves that sv will beat you on the twisties.I had a banger z 250 years ago but good brakes and tires and raced a guy to work on an almost new cbr250 and only lost because he passed a few cars at a roundabout nearly killing himself he never spoke to me after that .beat him on the bends
