Recut: "Edge Of Tomorrow" trailer
Like many people, I found Edge of Tomorrow to be a pretty great sci-fi action movie. However, the film did pretty poorly in terms of box office performance despite being very well received by critics and those who did see the movie. Personally, I felt the problem lied in the marketing and more specifically, the trailers. It appeared like just another Tom Cruise action film with a slight twist.
So I decided, just for fun, to create a version of the trailer which puts more emphasis on the humor, the drama, and Tom Cruise's surprisingly unique character when compared to his past roles.

I saw this clip of Brendan during the Golden Globes, and knew I had to make something out of it. The inspiration came from wanting a song with clapping and hearing this on the radio driving home. Raiders was great, the next 2 were mediocre, the 4th was a joke, the 5th is a videogame.
Honestly, they should have made a movie about some eastern european artifact, it would definitelly fit the cold war era Indy better than freakin' aliens.
I never cease to be amazed at how often creators don't understand the appeal of their own creation. ESPECIALLY if they've gotten rich off of it.

The crystal skull is utter garbage the dial of destiny was spot on leave aliens out of Archeology. The skulls were proven all fake the dial is real but still being in ravelled as of today they have even built a nearly 100% replica of it and it works . Throw in a little fantasy and they did good Gotta love punching Nazis all day huh

No, Crystal Skull is worse than Dial of Destiny. In fact Dial of Destiny is almost as good as The Last Crusade and ends the franchise on a good note.

I really like this movie... not my favorite but still a very good 2 hours of fun and adventure...
It has way too much personal, actuall history plus a heap of guilt, shame, to be…just another action movie! We don’t have enuf presently Really?! It’s actually a slap on the face to all of us in a ‘certain age group’ who made this an incredibly lucrative movie/series. Indy 4 should end
Making an Indiana Jones movie is not an easy task as the 3rd Indy movie went through many ideas and rewrites over the course of years before they finally settled on an idea that worked; making a Star Wars and Star Trek movie or TV show is much easier. For Indy 5 development took so long that Steven had to focus on other projects and thus left the project but his ideas for the film were still there for James Mangold to use. Plus, Indy 5 is much better than Indy 4.
Crystal Skull is why writers need to learn to kill their darlings.

They did a good job making them "inter-dimensionals". They're really just a treasure he quests towards in his normal fashion (until the end with the whole cgi alien bit). They could have much sooner had Indy on a flying saucer or something.
After seeing Dial of Destiny I did not like it and actually prefer Kingdom of crystal skull. Between Alien plot and time travel plot, I will choose Alien plot any day, time travel was so odd for an Indy movie

Spielberg really dropped the ball with Crystal Skull. There was an opportunity to make one more great Indy movie and he blew it. He's had an amazing career but his heart didn't seem to be in Crystal Skull.

Spielberg had nothing to do with the Dial of Destiny, that was all on Disney and Lucasfilm. Those mofos at the studio have lost millions of dollars with this new Indiana Jones movie. They still haven't learned from their mistakes because they have nothing else to destroy beyond Star Wars and Indiana Jones.
You're either stupid or didn't read through the credits. Spielberg was an executive producer on Dial of Destiny. They also consulted with George Lucas.
