A quick video of the Fordson Major Diesel restoration from the day it was found having been laid up almost 30 years to the presant. It's new lease of life will see it mainly harrowing and rolling horse paddocks along with some light lifting with a 3 point jib, so nothing to taxing! Although given the chance she might have a go at some harder tasks, we'll have to see.

Subaru EJ207 (EJ series) Engine Tapping Knocking Noise Fix
zhlédnutí 4KPřed 3 lety
After a bit of research it appears this is quite a common fault, well I say fault. It's probabaly more to do with improper torqued spark plugs. After time maybe they can come loose hence servicing I guess, on a newage Impreza the plugs are easy to gain access to with removal of the airbox and the washer bottle. This video is to help you if you have a similar noise on your EJ! Although will not ...

Una verdadera joya!!
Nice ERF, remember seeing Wyatts motors years ago. Such a shame that ERF is no longer about, confined to history along with all the other British brands, AEC, Atkinson, Foden, Leyland and the rest, all sadly missed. Shame your ERF doesn't have an Essex plate, but it's a beauty all the same.
DAO....This was maybe sold by David Rudd at Eden Commercials to Millicans or DM Cargill!¬
is it a Jake brake or an exhaust brake?
Jake brake or exhaust brake? 🤔
I remember my old man driving a few old ERFs for Jos Millican back in the 80s
Absolutely stunning
Cummins, fuller Roadranger what a combination, if only Kenworth would start exporting the Aussie spec one for this country 👌👌
was that legal to go on the road looking at the front end bits hanging off also up the road then into a service yard ????????
Maybe 250
No V8 SOUNDS AS SWEET AS THAT
as much as i love my continental trucks from volvo mercedes scania and man i love the british trucks also from erf foden and seddon atkinson i always loved the look of erf from the a series right to last true erf the ecx the sound of that gardiner engine sounds amazing and the colour scheme of the red chassis and dark and light green on the cab is spot on i love the 80s music in the back ground its just perfect for when this truck was new
Is that a 10 speed
Fuller RTO9509 9 speed
At 21 I had UKD 119 V with a 265 Rolls Royce 1982 wish I had a picture
Worked on loads of them as a Diesel fitter good engine not much goes wrong with them 😁😁🤘🤘
Those Torpedo Air Dryers were Trouble in The Day , it will Take the New one with a Small Change to the Governor Valve,
Them Gardeners will Run For a 100 Years if You look after Them
You made a very good job of restoring this B series, outstanding in fact, I realize this as I was the former keeper. Well done Max ✅
Nice vehicle good resto ,nice to that gardner ticking over proper motor
Jesus that sounds beautiful 👍
Love the sound of that Gardner Engine, good work done Bringing her back to life.
250 and 400 "big cam". No electronics, not EGR, no BULL$hit. None of the issues like the ISX has
2:30 Something wrong with that Gardner!! Normally it would choke you out of the garage😭👍
Fantastic restoration . Well done indeed.
Wyatts of Danbury, that's a blast from the past. In the late 80s, i was in traffic at Northwest Freighters in Haydock, and we did a nightly changeover with Wyatts at Crick. Mushroom boxes to Kirkby Lonsdale was a regular job, i remember. The trsnsport manager (Ernie?) had a habit of answering the phone, "the finest haulier in Danbury." Since they were the only haulier in Danbury, i suppose it was a fair statement.
Som inconfundível da bomba simms❤
Wow this is in the Uk? I'm putting a 350 In a 77 Caprice right now! London based
I remember those. Yeah, they sound nice in small doses, but you ended up partially deaf after nine hours. Still, they'd take loads of abuse, and if you bent something they could be fixed with a hammer instead of disintegrating into a million very expensive carbon fibre pieces. I'd quite like one to annoy the neighbours and for nipping down the shops. Preferably one with the partially back to front gearbox and the hose clip for the range. That hose clip was British Engineering at its best.
Had a 265 from.new
I delivered a ERF with a Garderner 8LXB to WYATTS Danbury I was a driver for Sellers and Batty Andrew Terpilowski
Nice to here. There was 3 with 8LXB's, a day cab on an R plate and 2 works sleepers on V plates, my dad drove one of the V plates after the original Jennings one in this video.
Wow that looks brilliant.my uncle had one just the same he worked for Tom roberts from barnsley.well done.
Beau travail ! The buzzer is the same as the Leyland, a small pièce of red plastic. I am sure.
I used to drive Atkinson Borderers. My first atki had the 180 gardner with the Davy Brown gearbox. Wouldnt pull you out of bed lol then i got a 205 cummins atki which was a huge upgrade with the 9 speed fuller box then i got the 250 cummins. It went like shit off a shovel lol. We had 2 b series erf's at the time. I rated the gardner for fuel economy but for power i reckon the cummins had it all the way. Then i got my first seddon atki with the 250 cummins turbo. My first sleeper cab then after a while i had a rolls 290 seddon atki. It kept breaking down for some reason then in 1985 i got the 320 cummins seddon atki 401 twin steer. Back then she was the holy grail of the seddons. The erf, atkis and fodens were very underrated lorries but outlived scanias and volvos of their era
Cummins first Roller second Roller wins!!
Excellent job mate.
Nice double declutching.
Alright Max,,,,,Nice 2 C The Ole Wagon Out,,,,Have U Still Got The Cummins 220?
Sold the Roller and built a Wyatt transport replica (Gardner power) still have the Cummins 250 tag
You’ve done a perfect job there , just as it should be without the bling . Well done mate it’s lovely 👍
we sold a ex co op milk B series ERF with the 201 with a ZF 6 speed and 2 speed axle. Lad we sold it to cut it up not happy at all.
Think I remember the motor, was a straight one from memory. Finding a good Zf 6 speed is a challenge, thus this one was fitted with a David Brown, it was originally Zf. Shame that Coop one didn't survive.
Cracking job that, nice to hear the old Gardner working loaded too.
Nothing like the sound of a Jake on the third setting!
'Seires'...............yet more dyslexia.
Nicely pointed out, now corrected 👌
Rolls Royce engine
🚜🚜🚜
My exiga does the same thing so annoying I just brought from car yard
