Actually Lucic's season came to an end because of a broken leg. He never returned from LTIR. His court case, and entering the players assistance program certainly didn't help. But players have entered the assistance program and not been on LTIR so that doesn't seem to be what saved Boston his cap hit. Him not recovering from his injury seemed to be what did that. And the Bruins already replaced Forbort when they traded for Peeke it was literally the entire reason they did that trade. Makes no sense to me to bring Edmundson in. What does he bring you that Wotherspoon doesn't? A higher cap hit? Wotherspoon had an excellent year. He can play either side. He doesn't cost a ton, and had limited enough NHL experience that I'd expect him to improve despite him not being a young prospect.

The bruins brass are cowards the way they treated Lucic. The bruins used to develop hard nosed players, now they go looking to other clubs, they are definitely not the big bad bruins of the past. I've been a fan since 1977 they have always been a tough team up until the last decade. This team is drastically different than the 70s Cherry teams...They are soft pushovers and it pains me to say that.

Id really like to see Bruins go get Necas!!? Obviously i want them to deal with the #1 center issue 1st and foremost!!?? Elias Lindholm and Martin Necas could be good to go for!? Definitely they should try to get Necas cuz he's a great scoring winger and he was only on 3rd line in Carolina so him getting to be at worst probably a 2nd line winger for Bruins would get him even more ice time and hed probably be playing with more talented linemates than he did in Carolina and that shouid lead to even more production!? He produced quite a lot for just being a 3rd liner in Carolina so i could see him being even better with Bruins!? Maybe have a 2nd line of Coyle/Zacha centering Marchy and Necas!!?? Thatd definitely be an upgrade in linemates for Necas and hed get more ice time so id imagine his production would only increase!? Id really absolutely love it if by some chance Bruins could trade for Draisaitl and bring him in to be the #1 center!!!?? Thatd be absolutely the best case scenario if Bruins could somehow get him, but thats a long shot at best but u never know!? Edmonton does need goaltending so maybe something could be worked out!? Itd be amazing if they could do it!!? If they could somehow get Draisaitl and then get Necas that'd be absolutely the best!!?? But Lindholm and Necas would be great too!? If Bruins can get Draisaitl or Lindholm then Chandler Stephenson could be another decent option for a center!? He is a good scorer a centerman!? I keep seeing things talking about Bruins maybe getting Stamkos or Patrick Kane and while those guys r still good players i wouldn't go for them if i was bruins, unless theres no better options available or if they can fit them in after going and getting great younger guys to fill their current needs!? If Bruins could go out and get Draisaitl or Elias Lindholm as #1 center and get Necas as another young fast skilled scoring winger thatd be amazing and then if they still had room they could maybe get Stamkos or Kane but they definitely shouldn't be trying to go get Stamkos or kane and have them be the #1 center!? If theyre guna get a guy to fill #1 center spot they should be prioritizing getting a really skilled younger center that they could sign to longer term!?

The projected #10 is a 6 foot 200 pound 19 year old American center man thst plays a two way game. Can he play in the NHL? Possibly but not the 1st line. Maybe in a year or two. We need a top line center.

We did well with the guys we picked up last offseason for like 1mil$ they were all cheap and they helped out, down the line it wasn’t enough but you can focus on extending a couple guys and then grab some depth guys cheap again. You gotta get Swayman and a few others extended and then shop around for cheap players. Kane wouldn’t be cheap and he’s become a 1year deal player, hopping from team to team because everyone is hoping he reignites his scoring touch but it’s too risky to go all in on him. And the draft is a no go, there’s no reason to jump into the draft for a 10th overall, it won’t help soon enough, there’s plenty of guys in the system now that work.

Ullmark is the best available Goalie for trade. Ultimately a team is going to offer a great package and hopefully Ullmark accepts the trade.

Of course, a #10 pick is only as good as the player it is redeemed for. And many require a season or two playing elsewhere. So, NJ would do well. BOS would do well as they would free up cap space to acquire another player and have some more depth in the system. That's fair.
