Interesting.
Two precious gems of Black Literature that must be protected at all costs. A great interview. Was Done With that Kardashian dig (been saying that for years and how they have influenced black lives in a negative, superficial way.).

What a wonderful conversation. Taking in grief, reflections and joy about writing. 'Make writing a part of your everyday life': excellent advice.
This was such a lovely conversation and I'm looking forward to reading all of Ms. Clarke's work!
This has been such a rewarding conversation. I loved being a fly on the wall and listen to Breena Clarke's creation of her literary world. I appreciate you inviting her to share her comments on this forum.

“The only lives that truly matter are those who respect the lives of others”. - your Mom
Thank you- great video
it's always a pleasure to hear Sister Sonia speak.
I lived in the Ebbets Field Apartments in 1968. I lived in 1720 Bedford Ave. Beah Richards, the actress in the film "Beloved" was a friend and neighbour. She lived in the building which was directly diagonal to my building. It's on the street that is across the street from Medgar Evers college. My Harvard Law School classmate, Wally Ford is a professor at Medgar Evers College. We met in 1972. He was a 3L and I was a 1L. My mom was a Howard players/drama alum. Toni Morrison was a family friend. For the past 20 years I have been living in Toulouse, France with my husband and 3 kids-the oldest is 42. I give you this background so that you can know the ancestors are with us.

Good evening, I believe I understand the argument on "proportionality" and of "absolute" rights and the immediacy of application once it's codified; however, in consideration of the Fourteenth Amendment, what is "equal rights" then? In context to equality-equity of liberties and rights of Afro-American citizens.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! We'll be sure to pass your message on to Dr. Jamal Greene.
Great interview. Dr Graham is really the best: an awesome scholar and a brilliant mentor!
Thank you! WE AGREE :-)
Talk about an incredible family! A literary scholar, a constitutional law expert, and a successful hip-hop artist! I'm in awe at how amazing this family is.
We're in awe, too!
Love the book and the interview.
Thank you!
❤️ ❤️ ❤️ I met Paule once in the New York City subway, the Village, ran to her in true fangirl style. She was soooo gracious, so giving in the time we had before our separate trains arrived, mine to Harlem and hers to Brooklyn. I was a student but she was still proud I was a black woman writer, and she told me to keep writing. Thank you for honoring her legacy and influence on us.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts...and for being a friend of CBL!
Hip Hop culture is all over the world.

Dear Dr. Greene, Thank you for the tremendous honor the CBL bestowed upon me. It's months later and I am still abuzz. Peace and Blessings to you and all you do.
You are so welcome! It's an honor well deserved!
