Greene and Coates discuss the mission and founding of the press, the challenges of independent Black publishers, and the way forward in documenting and ensuring the legacy of Black books which are obscure, or which have gone out of print. Coates discusses the way that family, friends, and community have provided the support and motivation to continue his work in institution building.
