Even with Master Lanzhou beef noodles, I always order the special dry noodles with a side of soup. The marinated chunks of beef, and the chilli oil, leeks, coriander sticking to the noodles are superior to the normal beef noodle soup

Did their volunteer student training program and it’s not only fun to go as a guest but really enjoyable learning how to work there as well. A point that they emphasised a lot was that the goal of questacon isn’t to teach people stuff that’s important and will stick with them for life, it’s about letting people explore and interact and have fun to spark an interest in STEM and create good experiences that encourage people to peruse science or question and think about things more. Q-lab is my favourite gallery, it’s got a live fully functional bee colony, a few different interactive ball exhibits, like the smaller floating ball and the ramp with the hoops in the video, bugs in resin that you can look at in detail with microscopes, sometimes a few simple water presentations by the paid staff, some little puzzles and weird gadgets to mess with, and a bunch of skulls and replicas, including ones of human cousin-species including Neanderthals which can be taken out of the display by staff or volunteers to present and be investigated (I spent a lot of time doing this and it was lots of fun seeing if people knew the reasons for differences or similarities in the distant relatives and human replica). After like 3 shifts my confidence in socialising grew exponentially and I even started approaching and initiating conversation (which is a massive anxiety normally), highly recommend the program to anyone in Canberra, offered to yr 11/12 students I believe

I go all the time Questacon is just down the road from my place. I love laying on the giant wheel in the lobby and just staring at the giant moot on the ceiling. So relaxing.
