First Time Flying CHINA AIRLINES Business Class & Premium Economy from SYDNEY to TAIPEI Review!

- This is our first time flying China Airlines Business Class and Premium Economy - is it worth it?
We first started our China Airlines journey from Sydney to Bangkok via Taipei, as China Airlines is a Taiwanese carrier based out of Taipei, Taiwan. If you sign up as Dynasty Member which is free to join, you can get 10% off the flight ticket price plus free wi-fi onboard.
Our first flight was an overnight one from Sydney was on CI52 China Airlines Premium Economy.
We arrived at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport at around 4am in the morning. At around this hour none of the shops are open.
We then departed from Bangkok on economy - but since this video is a review on Premium Economy and Business Class we are skipping their economy class - which was anyhow a cabin space that has always been difficult to film on due to space :)
Fast forward we are back a week later at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport from Bangkok and we have around 6 hours of layover in Taipei. And if you have a decent layover time I highly suggest exploring the city either via taxi OR a free shuttle bus to tour Taipei city provided by the airport.

As always Taipei holds a special memory for us as this as this was our honeymoon spot.
During our layover we hit up Yong Kang Beef Noodle and some bubble tea of course! Since Taiwan is after all Bubble Tea birthplace.
Now as a Business Class passenger you get access to the China Airlines Lounge at the airport and it was definitely modern, classic and classy. The atmosphere was designed to provide a chill and relaxing area to rest, work and eat. Classical music is playing softly in the background.
After exploring the lounge it was time to get on board from Taipei to Sydney on China Airline's Business Class CI51.

I flew with China Airlines in Nov 2019 to Japan and found the experience fairly decent but found the seats in economy on the A350 to be a bit tight but apart from that newish aircraft, food decent and flight attendants professional & nice. I gave them a 7/10 for overall experience
Nice thanks for sharing! Time to try the premium or business haha :) We had a look at economy and premium economy and somehow not much of different in price so I think it’s worth the upgrade.
@nickandhelmi yeah might look at that next time. I'm a Qantas FF and have redeem points and have flown premium & business to Singapore & Hong Kong.
Wish i could fly at the pointy end of the plane all the time haha.

China airlines’ Premium economy product offers safran airgo fx seats that is probably my favourite product an airline could offer and has a hard shell so you won’t affect other passengers or be affected by the passengers infront during the reclining of the seats (so basically reclining slides you forward)
Whereas the business class product offers collins aerospace super diamond business class lie-flat seats with sufficient storage compartments and an adjustable arm rest that makes it convenient and easy to access and exit when you have your tray table out and is too my favourite business class product offered by airlines
Only one coffee shop open at that early time😅 we loves china airlines, food was good, lots choices on entertainment. My best 2 so far are Garuda and China Airlines
