One thing you didn’t mention, I see my maintenance kit came with 2 gear lube bottles. I have no idea how to transfer from one to the other without losing oil
My tilt ram lifts fine but does not have the pull down strength that it had before changing seals and O rings. Thus the motor comes out of the water when reversing. I have taken it apart 3 times and nothing is missing or installed wrong. Driving me crazy!
Mate you're a life saver. Tried bleeding mine for days. Gave up for last few months. Found this video and had it bled on 10 mins. Absolute legend
Great Series and explanation. Subscribed! I think those Springs are now the weak point, I would’ve replaced them while doing that job, as well as knocked the rust off the backing plates treated them with Cold Galvanizing Compound. That Saltwater will eat them up if left untreated in 2 years..
That c-clip fell out from under the piece of tape that you see in the binacle. Yamaha always puts a tapes a spare clip for those mechanics that lose them.
great video. thanks.
Nice job and video. I lived in CHS 30 years. Really miss the Gerald’s tires and brakes stores.
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤❤❤❤
When greasing the steering shaft I always keep pumping until all the old grease is purged out and I start seeing the new grease. Should I not do that??
I have a plate aluminium boat. Can you remove the transducer from the mount? id like the get the mount fabricated to the keel of my hull.
It’s 2024 now.. On average. How much should this service cost?
vad har du säkrat av med för storlek på säkringen?
Excellent video!
Is a 20 HP same as a 200 HP on a water pump tear down ?
Great video Thanks 👍👍
I have been searching for the complete rebuild of the SeaStar Hydraulic Steering. I have to replace my Support bar. Outstanding video. Thank you.
Great video!
how long does should one expect this job to take per motor?
Mine had had a pin hole from corrosion in the block above the thermostat, under the fly wheel. Seems to be a common problem with these. You should have pulled the zincs in the heads by the spark plugs while you had the thermostats out and flushed it with salt remover. Those zincs have probably never been replaced.
Excellent instructional video. Thank you.
I'm so tired of using hammer and damaging that arm. Got mine yesterday...hope it works!! Thanks for the video
Thank You. Great video. Now can you do another with the boat in the water;-) ? Is it even possible? I am considering doing the loop with a boat that has outboards and can't imagine how many times I may have to do this....
I saw other videos on this but I was only replacing the trim seals and not the tilt… so I had so much trouble blending it out. I just about gave up it after watching your video I went out and tried it your way and it was so easy… thank you
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤

Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤
So I have weak cylinders, what would cause that? I put the engine on it and it just pushes it down.
I changed the lower unit gear oil on a Yamaha 115, and it only took about 29oz. Is that normal?
Great video since I’m buying a magic tilt with new axles and no brakes……but you should pack the bearings with a wad of grease in your palm, or a bearing packer. Also the bearing nut should be loose when you take the cotter pin out. Spin the hub while tightening until it has no end play, then back off a 1/4 turn and install cotter pin.
Good job. Thanks!
Thanks mate for the video.I will be installing this pump on my Catamaran Build in the coming month, appreciate the video.Cheers Ross
Does this upper driveshaft bearing carrier tool apply to Yamaha SHO 250 gearcases? I can not find anything on how to remove/replace the propshaft and pretty sure all this has to be removed to do so. Thanks!
So how did you get the transducer connected?
God Damme you developed a puller....
Hey! Thanks for the video. For which depths is this transducer ideal?
Merci beaucoup ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
great video :)
Sealant was put on the threads BECAUSE you are in a Corrosive Environment Keeps the threads from Galling ,,Locktight & antiseize works also
Spot on!👊🏻🇺🇸
Thanks for the video. I had to replace the pistons due to pitting, but this got me back up and running. Thanks again!
WHATTT? A 32 Regulator would be more like it..... But hey, can I get your contact info, I live in Savannah and need some boatwork done.... I would love to come up and say hi to you guys.
that next on my contender, was a police boat and doesnt have washdown. Im going to plumb it into the baitwell pump that has aux port, also I am going to install into the bilge for better access
You guys are the real deal. Your videos are the best because you are being you. Keep it up..
Love your content, thanks for sharing… I aspire to have my wires as neat as yours,I plan on installing this on my boat but not sure I’m capable of this … my patience’s would be shot & id lose my place in the middle of waiting on parts,I’d hire you in a heart beat to work on my boat !
Nice. Thanks for the info.
Why didn’t you use a fairing block? Wanting to install on on my HS 26’
Great video showing the steps. One question I have regarding the seals in that old water pump housing. The drive shaft has a groove which appears to have been caused by the old seals. Would it have been better to replace that housing with a new one that has new seals in it?
Looks like the guy did a LOT of trolling
thanks for the video.i dont have a 225,but a sho 250. yds system I see there are other diagnostic softwares out there's the yds still the best in your opinion? thanks John
