Strange Attractions: Exploring Graffiti
United States
Registrace 12. 07. 2020
A labor of love through the years, Strange Attractions: Exploring Graffiti explores how writers inflict extraordinary beauty into our lives; they wake us up and make us look. They ask the uncomfortable question, "What's important to you?"
A wall is power. Watch and listen to several graffiti writers, an artist discussing what art is, a policeman discussing graffiti at legal walls, and professors talking about chaos and creativity. Also explore some photo slide shows from around Connecticut, New York, Ireland, and France.
Enjoy.

Bethel, Connecticut. This is the legal wall where Abe and I began our graffiti journey. Abe paid a writer $10 to do this for us. Strange Attractions: What Cops Say about Graffiti & Writers
Fake cop 😂 he's a writter 😂😂😂
This officer might be involved in murders of innocent civilians 20 years ago based on the remarks he made in another video. Search "20 years ago he'd be dead. Danbury"
The graffiti cops are always surprisingly well read with history of graff and seem to have a bit of understanding and respect for the real writers out there. We had 2 old school graffiti task force cops in my city and their list of top writers was the same as any one of our lists. They definitely knew their stuff. That being said, Fuск the police.
This cop is a scumbag, featured in other videos threatening to kill people for recording
If you want to know why Graffiti are bad, then take a advice from Robocop: czcams.com/video/iKa3IR3BIng/video.html
Any of the guys in this video still around? I am looking to put the original video and audio and other archival material for Strange Attractions in the right hands.
If it's $3 a square foot and the paint was donated from home depot, where does the three dollars a square foot come from? It's all a bunch of made-up Pig bullshit
Big ups from frog 🆙🆙🆙
How many people has this cop murdered & how many use of force incidents has this anti American commie had? This clown has been terrorizing citizens for 25 years. You don't say the things this guy said on accident. He revealed his soul & it's dirty & black.
It isn’t acceptable to write graffiti on surfaces in reality, because it results in getting arrested. 👍🏼 if you strongly agree.
I really don’t give af
officer ken utter just wants to kill!

Do your homework, he’s a cowardly scumbag.
Ack ack ack ack ack! You’re wrong!
@@theholymackerel072go make ur parents proud cuz you never did it go work your stupid walmart job go get money
When a wall is buffed it should be buffed for writers and be buffed again after a period of time. If you wanna know a damn good way to solve a graffiti problem, make it legal. Legal walls should be in every city, because then we would have a place to paint and nobody would have to worry. Fuckin corporate scumbags.
hahah that wouldnt matter...writers will always want to get up in crazy spots or just not go by any rules
I rather see Graffiti on the highway then advertising billboards
….20 years ago you’d die, 5 years ago you’d be on the ground. 1 year ago you’d get a big kiss on the lips .
Has no idea why a writer writes his name on the wall
No audio 😡
Thank you for everything! Here’s a little something for you: czcams.com/video/GZJHc-YgHBg/video.html
20 years have turned him into an Utter monster.
Like he wasn’t subways a coward scumbag hiding behind his precious badge.

Funny how this guy has been seen talking about killing ppl who they can’t control, here in 2021

What are these clips from?
This was a project begun in the early 2000s in Danbury, CT. The goal was to create a video documentary on the inspiration that drive graffiti.
Thanks man
Shout out to MAP and LOST
Thank you for this!
He was my neighbor growing up. Haven't heard his voice in so many years. Miss you Neighbor Ken!
Here is a video of him on June 9th at the Danbury Library. Very eager to violate multiple rights of a man after placing his hand on a bible and swearing an oath that he would fight all enemies foreign and domestic. As it is your friend can't be trusted, his word means nothing. He became the very domestic terrorist he swore to protect society from. I don't think he realizes he's a terrorist, but according to natural law, and the golden rule, he's pretty low on the totem pole of, well, sorry man your neighbor is no good and you're lucky he didn't shoot you to be honest. Guy is nuts.
@@McCucumber I wouldn't take it too seriously. The dude filming in the library was pushing buttons to get a reaction and acting like a douchebag. Utter was angry and he said what he said but it's not possible that the police culture in Danbury is engaged in secret murder because there are absolutely no murders in Danbury. Utter is a good guy
Your neighbor has probably killed multiple people for his own purposes
