  • Street art in Ballymurphy, Belfast, Northern Ireland. Art is a refined form of political engagement. The mural was painted by members of this community using whatever paint they could find. Artist Gerry Kelly oversaw the project, which involved using a slide projector to cast the image on the gable wall at night. (There are lots of ways to get to a peace process, and this was one of them.)
