Don't buy the dawn power wash refill. 4 tablespoons dawn dish soap, two tablespoons rubbing alcohol, fill with water. This is the best for wheels and tires, using it for months, way cheaper.

Funny how divided the comments are. One thing to note is that if you are truly on the path of avoiding scratching, you wouldn’t want to use the same wash media over and over again on different panels. I get that the allure of DIY is that it comes off easier off the wash media but why would anyone these days just not use the multiple wash mitt/wash media method instead? Theoretically, you’ll have a way better chance of not reintroducing contaminants or dirt on another panel with a new media/cloth for every new panel. I usually use 1 bucket, no grit guard and like 10 micro fibre washing mits or towels. Wipe a panel with a clean surface and start fresh with another panel. In that instance, I prefer that the ONR seems to trap more dirt to take away with it. Also, no rinse is missed with the ability to foam with DIY. The idea is that you don’t need rinsing or pressured water for those who won’t have access. Having it foam with a pressure washer as a pre-rinse is not feasible for those that have no pressure washer access. This is why ONR hit it out of the park with their claims to do exactly what it was meant for. My black car is going 3 years strong from new, paint corrected, winter driven and only ever washed with ONR. I have little to no scratches and can’t find any marring on my panels except for gloss black trims.

Used this all the time before I stepped into gallon concentrated products. This or that Eagle One with the terrible sprayer.

Using a turbo nozzle on automotive paint will cause damage, even at decreased pressure. It's basically a narrow, rotating, cone-like beam of water applying 1700 pounds for force on tiny 1/16 inch diameter area which has a multiplying effect on the net pressure. There's a reason turbo nozzles are often use for stripping paint. And at lower pressures, it will get under the paint over time and paint chipping will eventually appear.

I use either Goo Gone Pro first with heat gun & plastic razor blade. If adhesive remains, then I would use Citrol 266, a more powerful chemical. I have never used a rubber wheel.

That stuff is legit , if you leave it over night the hydo after is insane. I use it on my customers vehiles. They love it, the ceramic coating inhave but havent used it yet

ONR V5 was the first product i tried when i finally tried rinseless and it was very dissapointing.. didnt feel slick w the ONR sponge, its just sucked to be honest, the whole experience.. i bought a gallon and i have not touched it again... anyways, i tried absolute and was like, ok, this is better, then i tried DYI and then became a fan of rinseless. tried Koch chemie RRW also since i have mostly Koch Chemie soaps, then i tried hero, and its over for bucket wash.. i still do it tho cause, its fun i guess, but prefer the hybrid, Koch Chemie super foam or active foam then hero rinseless... ONR needs to retire.

Can’t keep up. 1st they said don’t use dish soap on your car use car wash. PH is wrong on dish soap. Now . . .🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

I use Cerakote on my vehicles here in Colorado. I wash them nearly weekly. My Cerakote lasts me about 12 months. Excellent product.

Regular Dawn and Awesome (from Dollar Tree). Mix half and half in a spray bottle. Spray on both tires and wheels, lightly agitate, rinse thoroughly...Voila.

That Dawn Power Wash is a SUPERIOR Product just like ALL Dawn Products, the only I will use. You got to admit, using dawn to remove oil from wild life is VERY impressive! I can see why they still use that in there commercials, I would too!

This one time i was being cheap and really wanted to clean my tires wentnto walmart bought the small dawn soap the $2 and a meduim sized car sponge poured the whole thing in a bucket amd went crazy on my wheels best $6 bucjs i ever spent. After that i sprayed my tires with Maguires tire shine. My car wheels and tires look SUPER CLEAN

One less cleaner to have around. There are a few videos out there showing how to replicate the Dawn spray wash using alcohol and standard dawn dish soap.

Recently converted to wd40 on an old sock and that really does great at lifting the dirt and giving a shine on one step.

Yeah I wouldn’t worry about dawn I would worry more about the dedicated tire and wheel cleaner, some of those cause your tires to turn brownish and no matter how much u clean it, brush it or shine it, it will still be brown, but that’s not the bad part some start cracking your tire walls.

I stared at 14 years old cleaning rides. used Dawn. every day I'm 60 now take it for what's its worth. I just don't tell every one what i use. And i have customer's that have bine with me for 40 years :)

Have you ever diluted the Dawn Power Wash?

Dawn is crazy good for wheels. i use it, and it keeps my black gloss wheels cleaner a lot longer than any other auto detail wheel cleaner.

I switched to Dawn Power Wash. It's more economic than official wheel cleaners and far mor effective, in my opinion.

Baby shampoo was great. I had a 1991 Acura Integra GS that I took good care of and baby shampoo was all I ever used. Clay bar and then Mothers California Gold wax IIRC.

But will dawn power wash work on black gloss wheels?
