1000-Day Epic Valheim Base Tour: Ashlands Update!
Welcome to our legendary Valheim base, where time and creativity have woven a thousand-day saga! Today, we’re unlocking the gates and giving you an exclusive tour of our sprawling fortress. From the humble beginnings of a wooden shack to the grand halls of stone and flame, every corner tells a story.
But wait, there’s more! The Ashlands update has reshaped our landscape. Lava rivers, obsidian spires, and ancient runes now adorn our domain. We’ve even tamed a fire drake (well, sort of-more like bribed it with sausages).
Join us as we walk through the halls, admire the trophy room (yes, that’s a troll head wearing sunglasses), and reveal our secret alchemy lab (spoiler: it’s mostly mead).
Don’t forget to hit that subscribe button and share your thoughts in the comments! Let’s celebrate a thousand days of Viking ingenuity and toast to the adventures yet to come. Skål!

If Zombies have a brain they would get tired running for five and one half hours
Run Zombie run, I'm running Pizz
Bro took the whole map as his base xD , nice one tho , i sold my pc 4 months ago and now im gonna buy new one just to play this masterpiece ❤️
It's a gem. Every time I play something else I just think about my next Zomboid run.
Thats sick dude 😮😮
Thanks! It was a group effort and we have some straight up grinders on the crew.
Amazing game!
I need to do another run soon. Too many games so little time.
These are crazy!
It's a group project that's been a long time in the making. I have some old streams from last year where you can see the beginning of the builds. The play-through was put on hold for a while but was reloaded for the Ashlands update. I think we have 100 hours alone in mining stone.
Staying on off needs?
I don't think you need a sledge hammer actually. You can disassemble the gates with a regular hammer, I'm pretty sure anyway. Unless they changed it recently and I didn't realize it
You are correct that I don't need a sledge there because you can simply move the barricades and open the gate. I usually enter via the train tracks where you do need the sledgehammer because you can't disassemble the large fence. I make sure I have a sledgehammer so I can destroy the stairs at my base.
@@piZZlePlayZ yeah, regardless. A sledge solves so many problems it's always worth looking for
Going up that rope. Blew me away. Nice Base dude
Glad you enjoyed it
FINALLY... FEED ME ASHLANDS CONTENT DADDY
More on the way. If my internet cooperates I'll try to do more live streams. I will do my very best to livestream the boss fight.
I lost my phone Sunday and I just found it 🎉
Swag 😎
You dont need a sledge, you can just pick up those barriers you first sledged and then open the fence blocking the way. Done it plenty without the sledge. HOWEVER sledge is always good to have. SECOND Love that base! might have to do it myself!!! I am currently doing a country club base which im loving, I also enjoy the houses right up north near fallas lakes, right next to a petrol station, good for MP servers, no one goes that way and its close to the army supply store! GREAT VIDEO MATE
Thanks! I got a little carried away with the sledge. I normally enter via the train tracks but went in through the main gate on that run. My group usually bases at the three gated houses just east of that fire station and I've been wanting to do a base there for the longest time. I'm happy with how it turned out. I've based up at the gas station in Fallas Lake several times. It's just a good central location. I'll be starting a new MP run soon so I hope to have another base video at some point. I'll livestream some of it.
I like the Mounted Police Training Barracks in the bottom left corner of Louisville’s big park. It’s only one level, but the building only has windows on one side of it and an archway big enough for a big double gate. The building has an open courtyard in the middle so you can work on cars and farm in safety. The building has two storage rooms with crates and metal shelves for plenty of storage. There are also bunk beds and a small armory. The surrounding area has 3 water barrels and log piles. There is even a small pond for fishing in addition to the lake in the park. The park is mostly surrounded by big fences so large hordes can’t easily migrate in. Within walking distance you will find: 2 gas stations Pawn shop Animal shelter/vet Pharmacy Garden center Police Station Tire Center Garage Small bookstore Restaurants A small mall A BIG Gigamart It’s a great spot!
I've never even been in the park. I'll have to check it out. My gaming group is talking about a PZ run so I might have some multiplayer vids soon. I'm really excited about the new building tiles in build 42. We're really going to be able to completely transform buildings.
cute but with build 42 this locations gonna low rankings
Maybe not. There are the large fields just across the street and with the new tiles you will be able to completely transform any location. I'm really excited for build 42. They decided to hold off on some of the crafting that was holding up it's release so I'm hoping we will see it soon!
@@piZZlePlayZ im talking about the walls outside of this FD cus in build 42 the zombies can destroy that
@@elbirri have they said how they will path? Will they destroy every wall until the building collapses?
@@piZZlePlayZ not the concrete walls, idk the name in English But the the metal high fences?
... Why are you in my warehouse, boy? Lol this is has been my go-to for years! I have a long campaign going now and I use it as a fallback in case my Westpoint base falls. Pushing into Louisville soon.
It really is a great base location. I used to base up at the gas station in Fallas Lake but Mass GenFac has been my go to recently. Where do you base in West Point?
@@piZZlePlayZ I like to clear the building on the SE corner of the FoodMart, Hardware, Post office, etc. - block. Barricade alleyways to reduce zed roaming in. I always liked the positioning and look of this building. Modifying the 1st floor makes a great drive-thru garage & warehouse. 2nd floor consists of my armory, medical rooms, library, etc. (Useful rooms) and the top-floor is a penthouse. I may have some screenshots from a previous save. Finally died thanks to a blown tire... So I just started a new game today.
I only buy organic
Organic water
weird cutoff mid word at the end is weird what happened?
I completely lost internet for an entire day. I do have backups just in case I lose power but no backup for an internet outage. I picked it right back up the next day. I'm still playing that run. I'll be going live tonight around 8 PM CST. I'm having a lot of fun with it. We will see if I can get the victory or not.
3:06 ???? You don't need a sledge, those doors just open for me lol.... Also you don't need to sledge stairs to keep zombies off your top floor
The sledgehammer is to destroy the staircase at the new base. Stairs can't be disassembled. As for destroying the barricades and gate it just felt right in the moment. I don't always take the main road into Louisville. I usually enter through the train tracks but I had vanilla zombie pops on that run. The barricades can be picked up but I don't usually like picking up objects while there are zombies in the area. It's just a habit from normally playing with 4X pops but the sledge worked fine. I'd love to hear your thoughts and how you secure the second floor of your bases. I'd love to learn a better way.
@@piZZlePlayZ I'll let you in on a trick. Take a normal hammer and take out the tiles just after the tile that connects to the top of the stairs. Sledgeless top floor secures. 😉 The barriers make sense, very cathartic since they cockblock the car so hard when in real life you could run them down since they're just those little deployable construction site barriers. The fence gates are useful to block zeds though.
So just dismantle the floor tile leading to the tile that connect the stairs and the stairs collapse? That's genius. I've never thought to try that. Still needed the sledge to tear down a few walls for the build design I had in my head but not necessary. I like having a door to access the roof but you could always just hop in and out of the window. I had someone else say you could just drive though the barriers but I'm pretty sure it was a trap. Zomboid is one of those great games where you can have 800+ hours in and still learn new stuff. I appreciate the pro tip!
@@piZZlePlayZ The stairs don't collapse but if every tile that connects to the top of the stairs are removed via picking up the tiles & then using carpentry to dismantle the wood tile underneath the decorative tile you get basically the same thing but without needing a sledge. The stairs are intact too so you can store those tiles in a box at the foot of the stairs incase you ever get stuck outside your 2nd floor without sheetropes since zeds can tear them down. You'll have an extra form of emergency access this way in addition to not needing a sledge since the stairs are still there.
Idk if you know this by now, but you can turn other Biological pops into your Neo-human, by setting their Citizenship to Assimilation.
Now I do. Thanks for the info! I'm going to start a new run tomorrow. I'm thinking of doing a Determined Exterminator run with Machine Intelligence. It would be a waste to just exterminate all of those biologicals when I could just assimilate them. Resistance is futile haha
Build back brainless
Life is really simple, but we insist on making it complicated. - Confucius
"you will need a sledgehammer" Proceeds to use sledgehammer on road blocks that can be picked up and moved and gates that can be opened.
In my mind it is quicker. I don't have to worry about getting distracted and leaving them in my inventory and becoming encumbered while in a fight. We all have gone to pick something up and then out of nowhere you're suddenly surrounded. You will be needing the sledgehammer to remove the stairs in your new home.
@@piZZlePlayZ True, I just found it funny that you chose to sledgehammer in through the front door after saying that. I was thinking you'd be going through in on the east side of the map to avoid zombies or something
@@qapiojg I like going through the front gate mostly to see what vehicles and equipment are there. Someone else said you don't even have to move the barricades in front of the gate. Apparently they are bugged and you can just drive straight through them. I haven't tried it yet. It could be a trap. ha
@@piZZlePlayZ that is 100% a trap. The orange and yellow barricades cannot be driven through. I made that mistake early on and my dad died as a result when we got swarmed by zombies lol.
nice base! ive only used that location once so far but im only 300h in. Love adding new mods, weapons of 93 was a great additon.
I love this is the type of game when you're 300 hours in and you're just getting started. Here's to the next 300 hours! Weapons of 93 had been a great mod and it keeps the ammo type more simple than some of the others. I'm really excited for build 42 and the future of the game.
Find and destroy the machine
I am the machine.
Awesome video ! But i gotta know that song name that starts at 8:56 :D
Thanks! It's Syndrome by Michael Briguglio. It really hits. I used it in my last PZ video too. czcams.com/video/k7XTRb5ExeA/video.htmlsi=DFArZHi3aM7Hj5FJ
That fire-station served as my first (and then second) survivors' main base after migrating from their original starting-home in Westpoint. I have very fond memories of the building, so much so that in my most recent playthrough I decided to base up there once again - for nostalgia!
My MP that group that formed during Covid and has sadly become inactive would always base up at the firehouse in Rosewood. We would then relocate to the three houses that are fenced in with the small pond not too far from there. I would always see that firehouse in loot runs and think that would be the perfect solo base. I share those sentiments of nostalgia. I hope one day my old group will give it another run. It was such a chill and drama free group. Here's to the memories.
I'm terrible at this game and this base gives me hope xD
You just learn to take less chances and get better at risk assessment. I don't believe anyone is good at this game. It's always just a matter of time. I had to start this video over about 15 minutes in because I got a bite in the first house I went into. Keep at it.
@@piZZlePlayZ Thanks for that. How do you handle balancing all the skills out? Do you just start with a few core ones or spread it out evenly?
I focus on carpentry, cooking, medical, fitness and strength in the early game. Make sure you're watching the life and living channel the first 9 days. This will give you a huge boost. Carpentry is important because you will usually lose water first and you can build rain barrels and plumb them to a sink. Securing skill books is very important as this will help you grow your skills faster. There is a list of VHS tapes that grow skills on the wiki but be sure to read the corresponding skill book first. You should be doing burpees for 30 minutes every day. Cooking food using more complex recipes will give you far more benefits than just eating canned food. After the helicopter event you should hit up a book store and start focussing on your other skills.
The funny thing is you dont need a sledgehammer to get into Louisville. I dont know why people say that. The street blockade in front of the entrance is buged and you can drive through them (if you dont have a mod to fix this) but even if not you can move them aside and the metal gates can be opened normal.
Haha no way. I guess I've just never tried it. After over 600 hours and dozens of breaches into Louisville I've always used the sledgehammer because I thought you had to. I need to make a video and see if I can find the origin of this misinformation. That's awesome thanks for the info!
@@piZZlePlayZ Yeah i got over 600 hours, too ^^ When the new update drops my plan is to visit every city and until i reach Louisville to setup myself on a farm there.
That's a plan. I tried to have a base in each area on a run before but I got burned out and started over. The early game is just so exciting. I'm hoping build 42 will help with that a bit.
@@piZZlePlayZ Yeah the later game gets boring fast, thats the problem.
@@piZZlePlayZ It would be cool to do a coop run in Louisville but mostly you cant find good people for that :D
Best base for me would be the Gigamart located near the train station and LSU. The store has two floors and four gas pumps. Clearing it would require a shotgun and plenty of ammo but it would be worth it afterwards. Of course, plenty of parking for my car aswell.
I looted that Gigamart on this run. Definitely a lot of room to park cars inside. Which as you can tell that's very important for me. I'll have to be there on my next run and see how it turns out. In my MP runs we always seem to base up at the three gated houses with the small pond that's not far from this house.
I dig your Gp cap, I own one just like it. Peace on Bot
Yeah you got boxed in bad
I usually try to expand as fast as possible but I was too concerned with the early game crisis. I am expanding in another area of the map but its pretty far away.
You know what else takes forever to load all the Warhammer games.
I really need to catch up on some Warhammer lore. That's one universe I know very little about.
I have trouble with words too... haha Good video as always! :)
Thanks Bugga!
Yeah I tried playing solo, and I make it to my perfect safe house, base of operations and Everytime I get there I get bit! Like three times already I would get there clear out the house, watch TV, read books and during the night a zombie attack happens and I get bit, dang they need a skill revival tool mod for it like a skill journal or something like that
There is a skill recovery journal mod. It has to be crafted and makes soloing less stressful. I don't always use it because if you get all the skill books and VHS tapes you can get most skills back quickly.
I hope that you will find a friend in there eventually. And if it is just a Wilson - like in Cast Away. A friend is a friend.
I would be proud to have a Wilson, haha. We all need friends.
I love this idea! Rags to riches in The Sims 4 would make an amazing playthrough! Tempted to to do the same, start him off looking homeless, and then work my way up to making him look sophisticated and rich! haha You did an amazing job making him look like Ron Swanson though hahahaha!
It was a really fun video to make. There is a huge Sims community and they have quite a few detailed challenges. Sims videos can do very well. I have an idea of another challenge video to make, but so many games so little time. I am looking forward to see if Life By You can do to The Sims what Cities did to Sim City.
I find people rarely talk on MMO's and if they do its at a specific spot. Its kind of sad because I remember about 20 years ago MMO's everyone used to chat to each other.
I haven't played an MMO in nearly 20 years so its good to know its it wasn't just me . ha
Your base looks amazing! I can't wait to work towards one like that! I barely can stay alive let alone build a house! haha I got a vid on my channel if you want to see how much I suck
Thanks! I'm cheating a bit. When I do base build runs I use the 300 pts mod so I can pick every positive skill. In the zombie apocalypse, sometimes you just want to be Rambo and not yourself. I'm myself enough. The zombies can still get you. I still get got a good bit by getting too overconfident. I'll check you out. I have plenty of videos showcasing how bad I am as well.
nice tour
Thank you! It's definitely the standout feature in Manor Lords.
@@piZZlePlayZ Welcome bro, You make great videos. I watch your video. I have seen many more channels like yours. All those channels are 1K+ views. But why this condition of your channel. Are you working according to CZcams's algorithm?
Thanks! Through some self-reflection, I've realized a few areas where I've fallen short, but I'm committed to improving with every video. Here's what I've discovered through research and a bit of introspection about why my channel hasn't grown as quickly as others: 1. Mic quality has been a big issue. Despite having a decent mic, I didn't realize how bad my audio was until recently. I wasn't setting it up properly and was listening back on a cheap speaker. Lesson learned: investing in good studio monitors is key. 2. I totally neglected SEO in my video titles and descriptions. Without optimizing for search, I wasn't getting the impressions needed for growth. 3. My editing skills are pretty basic. I'm still new to editing, but I'm working on it. Some viewers prefer more polished videos, so that's an area I'm focusing on improving.
@@piZZlePlayZ Bro your audio quality is very good. You are a very busy person. So I can help you in all these tasks from the current situation.
My audio quality has seen a significant boost lately! I recently invested in a pair of studio monitors and dedicated a whole day to fine-tuning it to perfection.
This game reminds me of stronghold crusader. It's got that medical city builder with the sandbox options that fit perfect.
Stronghold Crusader was absolutely epic. I got lost in that game. It absolutely had to be an inspiration for Greg when envisioning Manor Lords. I still cant get past the dev team is just one dude....Greg. AAA developers are toast. They're so focused on checking every box they can to make games appeal to the broadest audience possible. However, they aren't reaching anyone while just some dude named Greg is out here creating masterpieces that are finding massive audiences and communities.
nice
Thanks
Lol, the K10's/K20's arent lifted. They're regular ride height, haha. I was the one who comm'd them from KI5, they're stock.
Fair enough. My first vehicle was a 87 C10 but my buddy had an 85 K10 Silverado and I just don't remember his sitting that much higher than mine. He did have all-terrains and it did sit a bit higher. It could be that it's been so long since I've driven one or even seen one that I forgot how high they sit. Still the best-looking trucks ever made.
You also got an apc which is so so cool.
I found a third one at the small military base outside of Rosewood but the path was already too grown up and I didn't want to go through the trouble getting it out.
Inspiring
Thanks! It's been a super fun run. I think I'm going to keep it going and do a follow up video of my Louisville base after I make a big move. I'll try to make it a one year in base but who knows if I can make it that far.
This mode looks like a really good way to train combat I might try it 😊
100% its great for combat training and it's a great way to break up the loot, rinse, and repeat cycle. Its stupid fun.
that warehouse a whole shopping mall XD
It's every bit of loot from Knox County excluding West Point which I didn't make it to yet. I go a little overboard with the looting.
@@piZZlePlayZ so you basically went around the map and got souvenirs from every place? thats cool
After I loot everything in the county the next stop is Louisville. The late game in PZ is a little weak so looting is about all you have left after you put in enough time. Build 42 which should drop soon should have a few improvements for late game as far as settlement building but it will still turn into a drag for most players.
@@piZZlePlayZ hope they add a lootable nuke👀
PZ is an amazing game! Can't wait for Build 42 to update and see all the mods get cancelled out. the main server I play has said they're going to wait for b42 to come out and then continue to wait for all the jank and proper updates to iron it out even more, PZ already has plenty of jank that has yet to be fixed. Can't name any at the top of my head right now but I heard from the server admins that it's a difficult game to work with sometimes.im still gonna play it though its fun
It really is a great game and has the best survival mechanics out there. I don't think it will take long for most of the larger mods to get updated. I do like to play a vanilla run on most games before I get lost in the mods, so the new builds give me that chance to remember what vanilla is like. Maybe we can get a small MP server going once it drops. I'm ready to be a farmer.
